5 Most Anticipated 2026 Netflix Movies, Ranked: ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ and More
Watch With Us is looking ahead to the new year in streaming, and we’re excited about what’s in store for our favorite platforms.
This week, we’re spotlighting Netflix and some of the standout movies on its 2026 slate of originals.
The streamer is set to premiere several high-profile sequels, adaptations and original films starring A-listers like Charlize Theron and Matt Damon.
Watch With Us has picked and ranked the five Netflix movies we’re the most excited about in 2026 — from a survival creature feature to an Enola Holmes threequel, to the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie.
5. ‘Apex’
The premise of Apex follows an adrenaline junkie played by Charlize Theron who travels to Australia looking to test the limits of her survival skills, when she suddenly finds herself hunted by a bloodthirsty predator. That’s all we know so far about Apex, which is set to premiere on Netflix on April 24. The rest of the cast includes Taron Egerton, Eric Bana, Bessie Holland and Zac Garred.
We love a good creature feature (Crawl, anyone?), and we’ll watch anything with Charlize in it. Plus, Apex is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who helmed 2022’s high-concept heart-pounder Beast starring Idris Elba. Apex has a lot of pieces in place to make it a solid action-horror banger. You can bet we will be seated for it when it starts streaming in April.
4. ‘Enola Holmes 3’ (TBD 2026)
Lady Sherlock Holmes is back for round three! Following 2020’s Enola Holmes and its sequel, Enola Holmes 2, a third sequel was announced back in 2024, and it was revealed in June 2025 that filming had wrapped. While there is still no official release date set for Enola Holmes 3, it was projected that the film would drop sometime in 2026.
There’s also no plot synopsis yet for Enola Holmes 3, but the film is set to bring back Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock Holmes’ titular younger sister, Louis Partridge as Enola’s love interest Tewkesbury and Henry Cavill as Holmes himself. Additionally, Helena Bonham Carter will be returning as Enola and Sherlock’s mother, Himesh Patel is back as Dr. Watson and Sharon Duncan-Brewster reprises her role as the villainous Moriarty.
3. ‘The Rip’ (January 16)
Everyone’s favorite Hollywood forever friends are reuniting for this new crime thriller from Joe Carnahan (Bad Boys for Life, Copshop). Ben Affleck and Matt Damon star in The Rip as two Miami cops who discover millions of dollars in cash hidden in a stash house, leading to distrust between them as they are suddenly forced to call everything into question.
Produced by Damon and Affleck’s Artists Equity company, The Rip has a fairly stacked cast. In addition to Damon and Affleck, the supporting cast includes Teyana Taylor, Steven Yeun, Sasha Calle, Scott Adkins and Kyle Chandler. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait very long to see this film, as it releases on January 16.
2. ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ (March 6)
Four years after Peaky Blinders ended the story of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) with the show’s sixth and final season, series creator Steven Knight brings Shelby’s story back in cinematic form with Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The plot takes place in Birmingham, England, in 1940, with Shelby having returned from his self-imposed exile.
There, he faces a difficult decision in confronting his legacy and his demons, as he finds the fate of his family and his country at risk. Fans of Peaky Blinders will be pleased to see familiar faces in not just Murphy, but also Stephen Graham, Ian Peck, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee. Plus, the movie will feature new additions Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to return to the world of Peaky Blinders for one last time on March 6.
1. ‘Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew’ (November 26)
Barbie and Little Women director Greta Gerwig returns with this epic adaptation of the classic C.S. Lewis children’s book series, The Chronicles of Narnia. Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is set to be the first installment in at least two Narnia films directed by Gerwig, with the first film scheduled for release on November 26.
The Magician’s Nephew is the sixth book in Lewis’ series but the first chronologically in the story, a prequel that serves to depict the creation of Narnia through the adventures of two children named Polly and Digory. Digory and Polly will be played by newcomers David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell, respectively, and Emma Mackey will play the White Witch, Carey Mulligan is Mabel Kirke and Daniel Craig is set to portray an as yet undisclosed role. With over fifteen years separating this new Narnia film from the last one, we couldn’t be more eager to return to this world as created by a visionary like Gerwig.
