90 Day’s Alex Refuses to Be Loren’s ‘Cheerleader’ When She Wants to Return to Work: An Insult to My ‘Manhood’ (Exclusive)

Loren is on the mend after her “mommy makeover” surgery and now, she’s got her sights set on going back to work — but Alex is not on the same page.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive look at the June 7 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, the couple are not seeing eye-to-eye after she admits that she’s interested in working again.

“I know it probably wasn’t the best timing, but I wanted to tell you,” she tells her husband.

“I don’t know why you’re telling me that while I’m saying, you know, we’re starting to go back to norm and you’re going to start doing stuff more in the home and now you’re saying, ‘Oh, but I have this,'” Alex says, referring to her lengthy recovery after undergoing a tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast enhancement.

Loren hits back, “Other moms do work, right, not just 9-5’s. They work unconventional jobs and they still take care of the family and a husband and I can do that.”

“I hope you can,” Alex replies, as Loren tells him, “I just want you to support that and see. I can. I will.”

Alex then admits that her returning to work is “not what’s important for me,” leading her to question what he means. “You would rather me just, like, stay at home and take care of the kids and you and the house?”

“Yeah. That’s more important for me, yes.”

When Loren asks him to be her “cheerleader,” as she says, “I would cheer you on,” her husband doubles down.

“I’m just saying that I’m not going to be your f—-ing cheerleader, okay?”

“What do you mean? [You’re a] support system?” she hits back, prompting quite the response from Alex.

“[Not] any man in the world that respects himself and his manhood don’t want his wife to tell him, ‘Come be my cheerleader.’ It’s the other way around usually.”

“I’m always your f—-ing cheerleader, Alex,” Loren replies. “But to be your wife’s cheerleader doesn’t make you less of a man. It’s not like a negative term or anything.”
