Kathy Hilton Reveals the Surprising Self-Care Routine She Is Not a Fan of: ‘It’s Not Really That Relaxing’ (Exclusive)

Kathy Hilton is keeping it real.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the businesswoman and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 65, reveals the surprising self-care routine she is not a fan of.
“[I don’t like to] get a manicure,” Kathy says, explaining, “I find when I go out to get a manicure, I’m thinking about too many things, or I’m bumping into people I know. It’s not really that relaxing.”
As for a self-care practice that she is a fan of, the star — who has partnered with Lovesac for the company’s “Recline of Civilization” campaign — says that “a facial is always something nice.”

According to Kathy, one way in which she will “take a break from the day to day hustle” and practice self-care is to utilize under-eye patches.
“My new thing is I wear the eye patches basically all day when I’m at home,” she explains, adding that daughter Paris Hilton will do the same.

“She will have sunglasses on, and you’ll see her out and about, and the reason she has the sunglasses on is because she’s got the eye patches on,” Kathy says.
The mother of four and grandmother of eight adds that she told Paris, 44, “You’re lazy. You don’t want to put makeup on,” before she realized her daughter was onto something and adopted the practice herself.
Kathy also practices self-care by utilizing her comfort foods, comfort movies and comfort television shows when she needs them.
The star’s go-to TV shows, she tells PEOPLE, are “old Friends reruns” and The White Lotus, which she began watching after her husband, Rick Hilton, recommended it.
As for comfort films, Kathy says, “I get Direct TV, so I’ll go on there because they have a lot of the old movies, and I like The Wizard of Oz and other old classics.”
Comfort foods for her, meanwhile, include “pasta” and “mashed potatoes,” plus grub from Lawry’s The Prime Rib, a Los Angeles restaurant.
