FKA Twigs Cancels U.S. Tour Dates and Pulls out of Coachella Due to Visa Issues

FKA Twigs announced she’s been forced to pull the plug on her upcoming U.S. tour dates, including her Coachella slot, due to “visa issues.”
Taking to social media, FKA Twigs (real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett) shared a statement announcing the news via her X and Instagram accounts on Friday, April 4.
“I’m devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues i am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of april across north america, including ceremonia and coachella,” she wrote in the post.
The British singer, 37, went on to share her disappointment at the development and promised to make it up to fans.
“It pains me to say this because I am so excited to bring you a creation that I have poured my soul into and I believe is amongst my strongest work and I know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows,” FKA Twigs continued.
She added: “I promise that I am working to reschedule the affected dates as quickly as possible. for headline shows, please refer to your point of purchase for details and refund information. back to you all with more updates as soon as i have them — in the meantime here are some of my favorite parts of the show that we worked so hard to create ❤️”
Alongside the announcement, she shared a carousel of images showing her previous performances.
FKA Twigs was slated to perform at weekends 1 and 2 at Coachella in Indio, California this month as well as this weekend’s AXE Ceremonia in Mexico City. She also had scheduled shows in San Francisco and New York City later this month – all of which will now no longer go ahead.
The announcement comes after Brazilian singer Anitta also dropped out of Coachella, citing “unexpected personal reasons.”
“I was really looking forward to being at Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I won’t be able to perform. I’m truly grateful to the festival for the invitation, their understanding, and continued support,” the singer, 32, wrote in a statement shared via X on March 20.
She continued, “I hope to have the opportunity to join you all in the future and share that special moment together.”
Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott are headlining Coachella this year, which takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California across two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20.
Other artists scheduled to perform include Charli XCX, Missy Elliott and Megan Thee Stallion.
