Becky G’s new home line is a reflection of her identity in more ways than one.

The “Mayores” singer, 28, and her mom Alejandra teamed up with Walmart to debut their new home decor line that’s inspired by their Mexican heritage. The mother-daughter duo spent the last three years developing the colorful collection that features dinnerware, accent lamps, candles, decorative pillows and more, all starting at $2.28.

“After three years of development and a lifetime of dreaming, our Mainstays by Becky G & Alejandra collection is finally here, and it means everything to me and my mom,” Becky says. “We poured our hearts into creating something that honors our Mexican heritage, our love of home, and the family traditions we hold close.”

Becky adds, “This collection was created con todo el cariño del mundo — to bring a piece of our culture into homes everywhere. We hope it sets the table for your favorite memories and inspires connection and pride.”

The actress notes that while the project is something both she and her mom hold dear to their hearts, it’s also working toward a greater cause.

“In partnership with Walmart, we’re supporting the Latino Community Foundations California Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund to help those in L.A. affected by the wildfires,” she says of the devastating natural disaster that swept through Los Angeles in January.

“Together, we hope this collection not only brings comfort and joy into your home but also extends that same spirit to the communities that mean so much to us,” she concludes.

Becky has previously been candid about how important it is to honor her cultural identity.

While speaking to PEOPLE in August 2022, she opened up about how being Latina is a “blessing” and that she wants to encourage more of the Latinx community to feel the same.

“[Being Latina] is part of who I am,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “It’s not something that I’m always like, ‘Oh, that’s what makes me different, that I’m Latina.’ I want to be a great artist, because I’m a great artist. And I want to be a great actress, because I’m a great actress.”

The musician, who grew up in Inglewood, Calif., notes that embracing her identity wasn’t always easy at times, as she felt she “had to choose” between two cultures. However, as she got older, she realized that being part of the Latinx community is “so much more” than just checking a box.

“Me being Latina — that is a part of me. It’s not just to check a box. It’s so much more than that. It’s the culture that I’ve been so blessed to experience since I was a young girl,” she shared. “It was a bicultural experience — it’s a blessing and a curse. And I think now more than ever, it’s more of a blessing.”
