Sean Lowe is “doing great” after his rescue dog, Moose, attacked him three times last month.

The “Bachelor” alum took to his Instagram Stories for the first time since the ordeal happened to thank his followers for their “heartfelt” messages and explain that he’s “healing” one month after the three attacks.

“A lot of you have asked how I’m doing, I’m doing great. I’m healing,” he said in a selfie-style video with son Isaiah. “My scars aren’t as bad as I thought they would be.”

Lowe, 41, held up his forearm to show a vertical red scar running across his wrist and said that Isaiah “likes to kiss this one here.”

“The doctor told me that one, that’s about as good as it’s gonna get,” he said. “[It’s] kind of red. It won’t be red forever, but I’ll have a cool scar there forever.”

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum went on to thank his followers for their “sincere” messages to him after sharing his “traumatic” story.

“We got thousands and thousands of messages, just people wishing me well and sharing similar stories and things like that, but anyway, thank you, because I could just tell it was sincere and heartfelt,” he said.

“I know I didn’t have a chance to reply to all of you, but it did not go unnoticed, thank you very much.”

Isaiah also chimed in and added, “Thank you for talking to my Daddy [and saying] nice things.”

Lowe shared the update a little less than one month after he initially informed his followers of the “traumatic” incident in an emotional video with his wife, Catherine Lowe.

The former reality TV star explained that he was hosting friends for a barbecue when the smoke alarm went off and triggered Moose to start acting “really aggressively” toward him.

After the boxer wouldn’t stop nipping at his feet, Lowe gave a stern “no” to the dog, which caused Moose to flare his teeth and “attack” him.

“I don’t mean bite and run off like a lot of dogs do when they’re scared or defensive,” he said at the time. “I mean [he] attacks me. And I feel him kind of ripping into the flesh of my arm, and at this point, I am doing everything I possibly can just to fend this dog off. … I know I’m bleeding badly.”

Lowe was able to eventually get the dog into their backyard. However, the dog escaped the outdoor area and stormed back into the house, where he attacked his owner a second time.

The reality TV star recalled looking down at one of his arms and seeing a “cut so deep” that he “saw blood squirting probably a couple feet.” His friends subsequently took him to the ER.

Lowe told fans that he was attacked a third time the next morning when Moose escaped from the backyard yet again.

“Just again, feeling ripping into my flesh. And again, I’m not trying to exaggerate, I certainly don’t want to come across as, like, a victim or anything like that. I’m just telling you how it happened,” Lowe said.

Lowe was “able to wrestle him to the ground” and hold him off –– but not before he “ripped [his] arm open.”

“I just know, like, I’m fighting for my life here. Like, I feel like if this dog gets up, he is going to kill me,” he recalled.

After checking back into the hospital a second time, Lowe and his family made the difficult decision to re-home Moose.

“We miss our dog, as weird as that sounds,” he explained. “He was a really, really good dog.”
