Timothee Chalamet’s Mom Talks About Her ‘Lovely’ Relationship With Kylie Jenner

Timothée Chalamet’s mom, Nicole Flender, shared some insight on her bond with her son’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

“I have to say she’s lovely,” Flender, 67, said of the Kardashians star, 27, in an interview with Curbed published on Monday, April 21. “She’s very nice to me.”

Chalamet, 29, and Jenner have been dating since 2023, but this is the first time Flender has publicly commented about the pair. The reality star and the actor have kept their romance low-key besides the occasional PDA-filled outing at high-profile events including the Oscars, Golden Globes and more. Jenner was by Chalamet’s side throughout awards season this past year — where he was a Best Actor nominee for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, winning a SAG award for his efforts

“Timothée is very focused on his career and Kylie loves being on the sidelines cheering him on,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January. “She loves that he’s in the spotlight more than her. It’s been a breath of fresh air.”

Flender isn’t the only close relative to give Jenner and Chalamet’s relationship a stamp of approval. An insider previously told Us that Jenner’s famous family, including mom Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian, has “welcomed Timothée with open arms.” Jenner’s little ones Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3 have also met the Oscar nominee.

“They love him,” the source added of Jenner’s daughter and son, noting that the couple aren’t rushing any element of their romance. “This is a very different relationship dynamic than what Kylie is used to. [It’s] opened her eyes to the more artistic side of the industry.”

Recently the couple were spotted taking in Charl XCX‘s performance and walking around the festival grounds during the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The pair were snapped holding hands as they explored, per photos obtained by gossip site Deux Moi. Jenner rocked a white crop top with coordinating joggers and a camo-print baseball cap. Chalamet donned oversized sunglasses, a loose black T-shirt, matching capri pants and a baseball cap as well.

Jenner’s ex Travis Scott was performing at the event. (Jenner and Scott, 33, dated from 2017 to 2023 and share two children.)

An additional source told Us that in addition to enjoying the festival with Chalamet, the reality star spent some quality family time with Scott, her children and her mom.

“They are in a really good place and coparenting is going very well,” the insider told Us of Kylie and Scott’s dynamic post-split.

Kylie and Stormi watched the rapper take the stage where he gave his daughter a sweet shoutout.

“Stormi, let’s rock,” he said before launching into one of his hits, per social media footage.
