Eva Longoria Shares Rare Photos of Son Santi in Celebration of His 7th Birthday: ‘I Love You’

Eva Longoria is in her motherhood era, officially celebrating seven years with her son, Santi, whom she shares with husband José Bastón.

“Happy 7th birthday to my Santi💕,” Longoria, 50, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 19. “I love you so so much!”

The Desperate Housewives alum honored her son on his special day with a giant silver “7” balloon, according to her photo upload.

Longoria gave Santi a big kiss on the cheek in the snap, while wearing a robe and wearing her hair half up in a clip, signifying she was getting ready when the picture was taken. The birthday boy was wearing a soccer jersey as he smiled in his mom’s lap.

The actress also shared a few photos of her and Santi’s sweet bond for the occasion while spending time at the beach. In the three other pictures, Longoria wore a cream baseball cap, white fitted tank and white pants.

Santi wore a white rash guard with a rainbow stripe on it and tropical palm-printed trunks. His hair was wet in the series of snaps, while Longoria appeared to be dry since her curls were still intact.

“Happy Birthday Santi!! X We love you xxxxx,” Victoria Beckham, who is one of Longoria’s closest friends, replied in the comments section.

Fellow actress Melanie Griffith also wished the birthday boy well, commenting, “Happy Birthday Santi!!! 🎉💫❤️.” Mario Lopez, meanwhile, replied in the comments, “HBD Santi!”

Longoria and Bastón, 57, tied the knot in May 2016 in Acapulco, Mexico. Two years later, they welcomed their only son, Santi. The little one is Bastón’s fourth child — he shares Jose, Tali and Mariana with his ex-wife, Natalia Esperón.

While Bastón had experience with fatherhood, Santi’s birth in June 2018 was a new adventure for Longoria.

“[The hardest part was] not sleeping when I was breast-feeding,” Longoria exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2019, after making through year one with her son. “Just being awake every three hours. That was exhausting but so rewarding in its own way.”

The following month, the Land of Women actress revealed that having her first baby in her 40s was exactly what she needed. “He was meant to be with me at this stage,” Longoria told Parents Latina in her August/September 2019 cover story.

She explained, “I’m more patient, and I don’t work as much even though it doesn’t seem that way!”

Once Santi was in his toddler stage, Longoria exclusively told Us that she loves the “experimental” side of her child.

“Every stage that comes up is more enjoyable [than the last],” she said in December 2021. “It was challenging [before, but now], I’m not as tired. I’m more like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I’ve got to be present because his little mind is informed.’”
