MLB Pitcher Dicky Lovelady Gets $250,000 Porn Offer After His Name Goes Viral

New York Mets pitcher Richard Lovelady is getting some wild offers after publicly revealing his nickname — “Dicky.”
Porn website CamSoda offered Lovelady, 29, a side hustle in a statement to TMZ Sports on Saturday, June 28.
“As a left-handed relief pitcher known for handling pressure, we think he’s the perfect fit to bring some heat in a whole new arena,” the company’s spokesperson shared at the time.
The CamSoda vice president, Daryn Parker, also doubled down on the site’s offer to employ the pitcher as an adult entertainer, offering Lovelady $250,000.
“You’ve made a name for yourself in high-stakes situations, and we believe that same confidence and control could be a hit with our audience,” Parker shared in a letter to Lovelady, per TMZ. “Whether you’re coming in for the save or just keeping things loose in the bullpen, we think you’ve got the charisma to command the spotlight.”
Parker noted that the company’s “DMs are open” if there’s interest on Lovelady’s side.
“We’ll take care of the tech, the fans, and the lights,” Parker added. “You just bring the Lovelady presence that’s already turning heads.”
Lovelady was called up to the Major League earlier this month. Following the team’s June 23 announcement, Lovelady requested to be called by his nickname, Dicky. (He’s since been signed with the team with a one-year deal.)
“For those asking, yes, new Mets reliever Richard Lovelady has requested to go by his nickname Dicky,” Mets reporter Anthony DiComo shared via X. “So it will be Dicky Lovelady from here on out.”
The player told the reporter that he goes by his government name “on a baseball card” and “on the scoreboard.” Otherwise, Lovelady explained that he “prefers his nickname.”
Lovelady made his MLB debut as a reliever in 2019 with the Kansas City Royals. He’s also played on the Oakland Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays and for the Toronto Blue Jays.
After the nickname quotes went viral, Mets fans discovered that Lovelady is definitely not on the market — he married wife Maddie Lovelady in November 2019.
“What an incredible day!” the athlete shared via Instagram at the time. “Mrs. Lovelady you are absolutely stunning!”
The couple announced in August 2023 that they were expanding their family with a baby boy. They previously welcomed a son named JT, but have not publicly revealed his date of birth.
Lovelady did, however, offer a glimpse at his baby boy via Instagram in September 2024.
“Happy 29th Birthday honey,” he captioned an Instagram post. “Jt and I are so grateful for you. We Love You.”
