Margot Robbie and Husband Tom Ackerley Share a Cozy Moment on a Balcony in Italy

Romance is in the air for longtime loves Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley!

On July 18, the actress and her film producer beau, both 35, were spotted together on a hotel balcony in Naples, Italy, where they shared a romantic moment.

Ackerley wrapped his arms around Robbie — and planted a kiss on her head — as she drank from a glass water bottle.

The Barbie alum wore a strapless dress she has previously been spotted in: the Elephant Tapestry Mini Dress by Kristin Mallison, which retails for $675. (Photos on the Brooklyn-based designer’s website show Robbie rocking the custom number, which is “made from a vintage french tapestry,” on a different occasion.)

Robbie had her hair down in beachy waves, parted down the middle, while Ackerley also kept things casual and breezy in a simple button-down shirt and shorts.

The couple’s Italian balcony sighting comes after they welcomed their first baby, a boy, in November.

Since welcoming their son, Robbie and Ackerley have been spotted out and about a few times, including during a beach appearance. In April, the new parents were spotted spending time on the Gold Coast in Australia with friends.

The beach sighting came as Robbie was on break from filming Wuthering Heights on location in the U.K. alongside Jacob Elordi. In March, Robbie was spotted on the set of the Emerald Fennell-directed adaptation of the classic novel (set to hit theaters in 2026) in an extravagant bridal look, complete with a cinched corset and long, tulle train.

Since welcoming her baby boy, Robbie has been keeping busy with work — and “enjoying motherhood,” a source close to the star previously told PEOPLE. “Margot has several projects lined up next year,” the insider said at the time. “She wants to rest now and spend time with the baby.”

Around the same time, another source said the couple was “settling into being parents.” Added the insider: “They waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived.”

A separate source shared similar sentiments in July 2024, telling PEOPLE that the actress and producer “wanted to start a family for quite some time.”

“Family means a lot to both of them,” the insider told PEOPLE, “and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted.”

Robbie and Ackerley first met in 2013 on the set of Suite Française — he was an assistant director and she was in front of the camera — and they began dating the following year. They later wed in private ceremony in Australia in 2016.

When she first met her now-husband, Robbie “was the ultimate single gal” (a.k.a. not looking for a relationship) when “the best-looking guy in London” caught her eye on the set of the war-romance film, she recalled in a 2016 Vogue interview.

“The idea of relationships made me want to vomit,” she told the magazine at the time. “And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.”

“And then it happened,” Robbie continued, “and I was like, of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.”
