Kendra Scott and Zac Brown’s Relationship Timeline

Zac Brown and Kendra Scott’s relationship is something to sing about.

The couple launched their romance when they made their red carpet debut in May 2025 at the American Music Awards. Shortly after, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Brown and Scott — who were introduced by mutual friends — had been getting to know each other behind closed doors for a few months.

“We’ve all known them for such a long time and honestly, we’ve never seen them like this before,” a source close to the couple shared with Us, noting that the pair are both family oriented and committed to giving back. “That shared family value has been a big part of their connection. They’re not just partners — they’re teammates.”

The musician was married to ex-wife Shelly for 12 years, welcoming five children before their 2018 split. Brown later tied the knot with estranged wife Kelly Yazdi, whom he separated from in 2023. The jewelry designer, for her part, shares sons Cade and Beck with ex John Scott and son Grey with ex Matt Davis. Scott was also married to Thomas Evans before her relationship with Brown.

May 2025

The pair made their red carpet debut at the 2025 American Music Awards. Brown rocked a black suit with a wide-brimmed black hat while Scott stunned in a silver gown.

“Hit the @amas red carpet with the best date by my side,” Brown captioned his Instagram post at the time. “Ready to soak it all in and have some fun tonight!”

Scott gushed over Brown in her own post, writing, “What an unforgettable night at the @amas! ♥️We danced, we laughed, and seeing Zac honored with the inaugural Veteran’s Voice Award was the highlight of it all. @zacbrown, I’m so incredibly proud of you — of your heart, your service, and the man you are. You couldn’t deserve this more.”

June 2025

Scott gave fans a glimpse of her romance with Brown while sharing loved-up photos of the pair. “Whenever I’m with you, I ain’t worried about it. @zacbrown ♥️✨🎶,” Scott captioned the post, quoting Zac Brown Band’s song “I Ain’t Worried About It.”

Brown added in the comments section, “Such a lady. So much of the world to explore, but anywhere is home with you.”

July 2025

The couple announced their engagement two months after their red carpet debut. “We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” Brown and Scott told People at the time.

That same month, Brown gushed over Scott while speaking with Us, adding, “Finding someone I’m so like-minded with and share and align [with] in such a way, it’s such an incredible thing. It’s totally different than anything I’ve ever had before.”
