Taylor Swift Recalls Travis Kelce’s Brother Jason Panicking Over Drinking Beer When Meeting Prince William and His Children

Jason Kelce is a man of the people who found himself in the room with British royalty. 

The 37-year-old retired NFL star met Prince William and his two eldest children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10, thanks to his brother Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift. 

Swift appeared on the Aug. 13 episode of Travis and Jason’s New Heights podcast, where she recalled Jason attending a London show on her Eras tour. 

In addition to the show marking Travis taking the stage with Swift in a viral moment, it also happened to be the moment Swift offered to introduce Jason to the royals, who came to see the show sans mom Kate Middleton and little brother Prince Louis. 

“Wasn’t this the week I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?” Taylor asked during the highly anticipated podcast episode. 

“He was like, ‘What do I do with my beer?’ ” Travis recalled, laughing. 

“I watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, ‘But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it,’ ” Swift said, miming Jason holding up his beer can. “I watched this happen, and it kind of was the most amazing…”

Jason fully agreed with Swift’s analysis of the moment, saying, “I like that you picked up on it because that was exactly what was going through my head.”

“Like if I don’t have my beer, what do I do with my hand now?” Swift joked, as if she were Jason. 

“Is it disrespectful to have a beer when you meet royalty?” Jason pondered, and Swift added, “Yeah, or is it authentic by having the beer? I would normally have the beer, wouldn’t they want me to be myself? I’m watching you say that in your head.” 

The “London Boy” singer added of the moment, “It was fantastic.” 

Swift and Travis posed with William, George and Charlotte backstage at the show, with Swift posting it as the first image with her longtime boyfriend on her Instagram. 

Swift opened up about a variety of topics during her two-hour podcast appearance. The couple packed on the PDA throughout as they discussed Swift purchasing her music masters, the impact of the Eras tour, their unconventional love story and more.
