Tan France Calls Meghan Markle’s Flower Sprinkles the ‘Gayest S***’ He’s Seen ‘In a Long Time’

Tan France has some thoughts about Meghan Markle’s infamous As Ever flower sprinkles.
The Queer Eye star appeared in the third episode of With Love, Meghan season 2. The duo kicked off the episode, titled “Easy as Pie,” by making his signature French toast. Meghan, 44, garnished their finished product with the sprinkles.
“What was that that you just added?” France, 42, asked.
“Flower sprinkles,” Meghan replied. “I love them.”
France’s reaction caused both him and Meghan to get the giggles.
“Wow,” he said. “That’s the gayest s*** I’ve seen in a long time.”
Meghan explained that she “really” likes things “to look beautiful” before presenting the finished product. (Meghan’s flower sprinkles launched as part of her first As Ever collection in April.)
“No, you’ve really inspired me,” France explained. “I’m not just saying that. That really is a cute way of making food more entertaining for the kids, in particular.”
Meghan and France made French toast as an homage to the Queer Eye star’s own household. France explained that his eldest son Ismail, 4, is not a huge breakfast fan — loves French toast.
“I don’t eat breakfast, and I think he’s learned this from me,” France explained. “He doesn’t like to eat breakfast, but the only thing he’ll eat every day is French toast if I make it.”
France shares Ismail and Isaac, 2, with husband Rob France.
When he and Meghan were filming their With Love, Meghan episode, France’s eldest had “just started pre-K” and breakfast became a part of their day.
“Breakfast — a nice breakfast — is a way of me getting him excited about school because it’s turned into a ritual at this point,” he said. Meghan understood because she also prioritized breakfast for husband Prince Harry and kids Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.
“I make hot breakfast most mornings for the kids and my husband,” she said. “It’s not as complicated as people think it is. This is so easy to make.”
Meghan continued, “It feels like a big undertaking but you’re just slicing bread, you’re dunking it in some eggs and calling it a day.”
France asked if she was “doing some kind of skillet thing most days” for the family.
“Fried eggs and pancakes,” she said. “But I like to do surprise pancakes for the kids, so I always put some ground flax seeds or some chia seeds in. Lili will ask me, ‘Can I have my chia seeds? I want it to have freckles.’”
All episodes of With Love, Meghan season 2 are now streaming on Netflix.
