Nip/Tuck’s Dylan Walsh Had Open White Claw Cans in Crashed Car, Police Say: Reports

Nip/Tuck actor Dylan Walsh was found to have open and empty cans of White Claw, an alcoholic seltzer drink, in his vehicle following a car accident in New Jersey earlier this month, per multiple reports.
In a police report from the August 17 incident obtained by Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, August 26, a Rumson Police Department officer noted, “As the investigation continued, I located the credentials for the vehicle in the glove box for the vehicle and documented the information needed. While returning the documents, I noticed an open cooler bag containing multiple empty and open White Claw hard seltzer (Alcoholic Beverages).”
Walsh, 62, hit two utility poles at around 5 p.m. on August 17 after his 2022 Ford Explorer SUV crossed into another lane. He was traveling with his wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, 53, their two teenage children, Amelie, 13, and Hudson, 12, and a fifth passenger identified as Claire Richardson, per the outlet.
According to the police report, the actor willingly provided a blood sample following the incident. The responding officer noted, “With the combination of the accident’s cause being unknown by everyone inside the vehicle, including the operator, and the operator clueless as to if he lost consciousness or not, and with children present inside the vehicle, I requested that [Walsh] provide a sample of his blood at the hospital to rule out drugs and or alcohol playing a role in this investigation. [Walsh] willingly agreed, and a sample was taken consensually.”
According to TMZ, Walsh was cited for six motor vehicle violations on August 20, including alleged open container of alcohol, reckless driving, expired registration, failure to keep right, unsafe lane change/failure to maintain lane and driving on a sidewalk.
Us Weekly has reached out to Walsh’s representative for comment.
News of the actor’s accident was first reported by Patch on August 19. The following day, Walsh’s representative told Us, “Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home. The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care.”
The statement continued, “They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.”
As well as playing Dr. Sean McNamara on Nip/Tuck, Walsh is also known for roles on Superman & Lois and Blue Bloods.
