Kim Kardashian is back to blond in icy hair transformation ahead of Met Gala

The ice queen is back.

Kim Kardashian famously went platinum when she wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the 2022 Met Gala, and on Saturday she renewed her blond bombshell status in a new Instagram post from her hairstylist, Chris Appleton.

“Ice kimmy 🧊” the celeb hair guru captioned his post, sharing two photos and a video of the “Kardashians” star, 43, showing off her dramatic hair transformation from brunette to silvery blond.

“We wanted to keep a short root & the blonde cool & creamy,” Appleton explained in the post, adding he “colored it in a couple of sessions to keep the integrity of the hair nice and juicy.”

In a photo from the event, Kardashian appears to be wearing a pair of black Balenciaga pantashoes as she clutches her off-the-shoulder fur in front.

Although her Marilyn moment might be Kardashian’s most famous blond era, she’s gone light before, dying her hair platinum blond in 2015.

And while she went back to her natural brunette shade following her year of blond in 2022, the mom of four briefly rocked honey-blond extensions to attend the 2023 GQ Men of the Year party.
