Inside Justin Bieber’s VIP nights out with The League: Sports, music, partying and more

“Got some friends and they all love Justin Bieber!”

Those may be some of the catchy lyrics Hurricane Chris sings on the hit track “POPPIN’ MY S***” (off Bieber’s “SWAG II” album), but that’s also the vibe at THE LEAGUE, a star-studded, underground sporting phenomenon locals have dubbed “Los Angeles’ best-kept secret.”

Bieber has become a regular at the VIP destination, which blends basketball and futsal games with fashion, music, celebrity culture and more, all under one roof.

Page Six recently scored a coveted invite to the trendy playground, where we got a first-hand look at how Bieber has been spending his nights out with family, friends and fellow sports fans.

“I’ve seen Justin here numerous times, and every time he brings incredible energy,” one guest, who has attended multiple events hosted at SRGN Studios, exclusively told Page Six.

“He’s always smiling, interacting with everyone and genuinely looks like he’s in his element. It’s clear he’s just having fun and enjoying the vibe.”

While many fans know him as “Justin Bieber, the pop star,” the multifaceted artist has been sharing glimpses of his other passions, like sports and fashion, on social media in recent years.

His latest involvement with THE LEAGUE is now allowing him to enjoy those hobbies all in one place — and at a venue where he can “just be Justin.”

Take one look at Bieber’s Instagram, and you’ll see that energy come through. His feed is flooded with pics and videos of himself sitting courtside, rocking a jersey or partying with pals at the invite-only parties.

One sports figure you’ve likely seen all over Bieber’s social media accounts is commissioner and co-founder Ron Abaekobe, aka “the man behind THE LEAGUE,” who has become one of Bieber’s closest confidants.

His goal in starting this platform was to create a safe place where “CEOs, VIPs, athletes and people from all walks of life” could come together under the same roof.

“I designed THE LEAGUE as a destination where a structural engineer with high taste would be playing on the same futsal team as Justin Bieber and Vic Mensa,” Abaekobe explained. “Because the culmination of people from different walks of life is just as important as the wins on the scoreboard.”

Bieber has not only attended the various events hosted by Abaekobe — he also has his own basketball and futsal divisions within THE LEAGUE, both under Team SKYLRK.

The name, of course, represents the fashion and apparel brand the “YUKON” singer launched in July 2025, with hoodies, beanies, sunglasses and more.

Sometimes Bieber cheers on his squad from the sidelines. Other times, he suits up and joins his players on the court, in a much more casual setting than the All-Star Celebrity NBA and NHL games he’s previously participated in.

Recently, the Grammy winner helped Team SKYLRK defeat Team Ah & Co., 6-1, during a futsal match. The entire crowd erupted into cheers throughout the game, especially after the singer made a wild trick shot that was caught on camera.

He also scored an impressive 15 points during Team SKYLRK’s most recent basketball game vs. Team LRG — all after a two-hour workout with NBA shooting coach Chris Matthews, aka “Lethal Shooter.”

“Justin Bieber understands it now!” Matthews raved on Instagram, sharing a clip of the singer committed and in the zone during their practice. “He’s a living legend who knows how to master a craft. @lilbieber keep doing your thing.”

The party doesn’t stop once the games are over, however. As Page Six witnessed in person, Bieber typically sticks around to hang out and party with the crowd.

We spotted him dancing and mingling throughout the evening, hyping up the live DJ, checking out the local hospitality vendors on site and more.

“Lil Bieber is cool, man. Bieber is awesome,” one insider gushed. “He’s just another guy. He’s just a regular dude who likes playing his music and dancing to it.”

The insider also spoke about what it was like seeing Justin bring his wife, Hailey Bieber, to one of the games earlier this year.

It appeared to be a fun “mom and dad’s night out” for the couple, who are parents to their 1-year-old son, Jack Blues.

“Something that’s so sweet is his relationship with Hailey,” the eyewitness told us. “When you see it in person… [you can tell] he loves that girl so much.”

The Biebers aren’t the only celebrities who have been poppin’ up at THE LEAGUE, however. Stars like MGK, Amber Rose, Ty Dolla $ign, Kyle Massey and Grant Ellis have all gotten in on the action.

“You never know who’s going to walk through those doors,” a hospitality team member explained. “But the thing is, the celebrities don’t even want to be recognized as celebrities [here]. They walk amongst regular people in the crowd.”

Abaekobe exclusively told Page Six that brands, celebrities, tastemakers and the community all coming together was “always the vision” for THE LEAGUE.

After playing professional basketball in Spain and Colombia, he wanted to create a career where he could keep his passion for the sport alive, while also utilizing his business and fashion skill sets.

“That’s what basketball’s really all about, and that’s what THE LEAGUE is all about,” the athlete, who also serves as SKYLRK’s team captain, shared. “It’s about bringing all the worlds together outside of sports. That’s what we’ve been able to do, and we’re going to keep building that.”

Four years after its launch, THE LEAGUE is now achieving massive popularity, thanks to celebrities like Bieber for showing fans how cool it is, and to MemeHouse Productions for streaming the events to a worldwide audience.
