Katy Perry Says She’s ‘Dating Someone Else’ After a Fan Asks Her to Marry Him at Her Show in Prague

Katy Perry is off the market!

During her Thursday, Oct. 30 Lifetimes Tour stop in Prague, Perry addressed a fan in the crowd who had a sign asking for her hand in marriage.

“This guy is trying to get me to marry him and he has a ring in his hand,” Perry, 41, announced to the crowd, according to fan footage on TikTok.

“No! I am dating someone else for crying out f—ing loud,” she added.

The announcement comes after Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, 53, stepped out as a couple for the first time on Oct. 25.

At the time, the couple attended a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris to mark Perry’s birthday, according to TMZ. In the photos, the pair could be seen walking out of the theater while holding hands and smiling.

Days later, a source told PEOPLE that the pop star was “flattered” by his effort to spend time with her while she’s on the road through December.

“She’s focused on her tour, and Justin has made a real effort to meet her where she is — literally,” the Perry source said. “She’s flattered. He’s shown that he’s committed and really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear that he values the connection, and so does Katy. She’s in a great place.”

The “Firework” singer and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors in July. Weeks before they stepped out for Perry’s birthday, they were spotted kissing on a yacht near Santa Barbara.

“Dating Justin is something she never saw coming, but she’s really enjoying this surprising life twist,” the Perry source said, adding that he flew to Paris to celebrate her birthday “and she loved it.”

Meanwhile, another source told PEOPLE that Trudeau “has had a lot of upheavals in the past couple of years,” including his difficult split from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, in 2023 and his resignation as Canada’s prime minister earlier this year, but he’s a much happier person with Perry.

“He is a much happier person now,” the source said. “Stresses are greatly diminished. And he is intrigued with Katy. They have fun together, laugh a lot, talk about everything.”

“His life is much improved, and his relationship with Katy has had a lot to do with it,” the source added.
