Why Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi will never reveal daughter’s name
Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have no intention of sharing their daughter’s name — until “she’s ready to do it herself.”
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” the “Stranger Things” star told British Vogue in an interview published Wednesday.
“It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly,” the actress further explained.
“If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support.”
The actress, 21, and her model husband, 23, announced in August that they had adopted a child.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple — who wed in May 2024 — wrote in a joint Instagram post.
“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the couple continued. “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
That same day, the three made their debut as a family while walking around East Hampton, NY.
The actors appeared relaxed as Brown pushed the stroller alongside her husband, who is the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
At the time, Brown may have subtly hinted at her daughter’s initials while holding onto her pink phone case embedded with the letters “R,” “W” and “B.”
The “Enola Holmes” star also proudly repped a pink sweatshirt that read, “Mother,” during the outing.
Brown and Bongiovi continued their family appearances on Aug. 24 when they were seen shopping in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City.
Back in March, Brown said she planned to become a young mom during an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast.
“This has been my thing since before I met Jake,” she explained, stating that Bongiovi knew how much building a family meant to her when they started dating in 2021.
The “Damsel” star also shared that adopting a child wasn’t any different than giving birth to one, adding, “The energy in our house is the door is always open.”
