Gypsy Rose Blanchard shares hair makeover after wearing wigs

Gypsy Rose Blanchard showed off a jaw-dropping hair transformation that she’s been hiding under wigs.

In a since-deleted Instagram Stories post, Blanchard wore her hair in a shortly-cropped brunette pixie cut with a beige headband. “Why do you wear wigs?” she wrote atop the photo.

“This is my real natural hair,” she added. “I had to cut it really short because nearly two years of bleaching completely fried it.”

“I don’t feel comfortable with short hair, so I normally wear a high-quality wig while my real hair grows back healthy,” the convicted felon continued. “I’m giving my hair a fresh start so it can grow long again.”

The 34-year-old mother — who served eight years in prison for assisting in the infamous murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard — previously took to social media in April to show off her dramatic weight loss after giving birth to daughter Aurora in December 2024.

Gypsy Rose shared since-deleted side-by-side photos via Instagram showcasing the 25-pound weight-loss transformation.

In a January 2024 photo, she wore a black dress on a red carpet, while a more current photo showed her in a white halter vest with fitted light denim jeans and high-heeled boots.

“I’ve seen a lot of comments of people asking how I lost the weight so my weight loss journey started once getting out of prison so when I started eating healthier instead of prison food, the weight begin to fall off,” Gypsy Rose wrote in the comments section.

The Munchausen by proxy survivor explained that she “started eating twice a day” and consumed “smaller portions” to achieve her weight loss.

The “Life After Lock Up” star was released from prison in December 2023 for her role in then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn murdering her abusive mom in 2015.

Since then, Gypsy Rose has continued to transform herself with a series of major changes.

In addition to welcoming her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker, she’s also tried out a blond hair makeover, got matching tattoos with Urker, and underwent rhinoplasty and extensive dental surgery in 2024.

In December 2024, she finalized her divorce from ex Ryan Scott Anderson, whom she married in a prison ceremony in 2022.
