Kim Kardashian Subtly Reveals on ‘The Kardashians’ That Ex Kanye West Accused Her of ‘Faking’ Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian got emotional on The Kardashians about how the public — and ex Kanye West — accused her of faking her Paris robbery.

The Thursday, December 4, episode of the hit Hulu series followed Kim’s trip to Paris to testify in court. Kim, 45, and her loved ones were thrilled for her to be able to tell her side of the story after previously being accused of lying for attention.

“She felt hurt so many people didn’t believe her,” Khloé Kardashian recalled in a confessional. “I definitely remember people even in the vicinity near us — questioning if this really happened and that was really gross.”

Kris Jenner was just as upset in Kim’s honor. “The narrative that my daughter would make something like this up was ludicrous,” she noted. “It was just unfathomable that somebody could have said something like that.”

While attending 2016 Paris Fashion Week, Kim was held up in her hotel room by a group of men who she claimed dressed like policemen and wore masks. She claimed the suspects demanded her diamond ring before tying her up. Multiple suspects were arrested in connection with the alleged robbery in January 2017, with 10 individuals later charged.

“Howard Stern was famously mocking it all the time. He was saying that I’m sick and it’s such a joke and I made it all up. I remember he was so defiant about it,” Kim told the cameras. “And I was like, ‘How can you be so certain?’ People trust you.’ That always stuck with me.”

Kim claimed Kanye, 48, was one of the people questioning her.

“Even my ex-husband had said, ‘You’ve faked your robbery for a TV show.’ And he had said that in front of all these people,” she said while seemingly referring to Kanye, who she was married to from 2014 to 2021. “That was a knife to my heart. Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you that is so close to you, that should know you and that should know how much that affected your life.”

She continued: “It just really bothered me. Like, ‘You don’t know who I am?’ So to finally be able to go to trial, face these people and hear their accounts and apologies … I’m like, ‘Guys, it was real, you know?’ I am happy it is over.”

The reality star shares North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, with Kanye. Earlier this season, Kim addressed the misconceptions about her coparenting relationship with Kanye.

“I feel more stressed probably just because I have to protect my kids. Everyone around can handle [the drama], but I want to protect my babies. They are going to know things. They’re going to grow up and see,” she noted. “So, my job as a mom is to just make sure that at a time when that behavior is happening, is just to make sure that they are protected.”

Kim pointed out that her children can now see their father’s controversial behavior online and possible negative comments toward her.

“One of my kids knew what was happening. I’ve been able to hide it for so long,” she shared. “I always felt really bad and always wanted to help. This was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally. [People think] I should have stuck it out and I could have helped. As much as people think that I have the luxury of walking away and not dealing ever again, that’s not my reality. This person — we have four kids together.”
