Gwyneth Paltrow’s son Moses wasn’t too thrilled with one part of his mom’s latest movie.
During a Q&A held in support of her latest project, Marty Supreme, at the San Vicente Bungalows in Santa Monica, Calif., on Friday, Jan. 9, the actress, 53, said her 19-year-old child did not enjoy seeing her sex scenes in the film with Timothée Chalamet.
“Oh my God! My poor son,” Paltrow told Demi Moore — who took part in a film screening and the following Q&A — of Moses, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin. (The former couple is also parents to daughter Apple, 21.)
“Can you imagine when he came to the premiere in L.A.? He wanted to die,” she added.

Marty Supreme follows Chalamet, 30, as Marty Mauser, a shoe salesman who is obsessed with becoming the world’s best table tennis player in 1950s New York City.
The film, directed by Josh Safdie, also features Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher — PEOPLE’s latest cover star — alongside Chalamet and Paltrow.
Chalamet and Paltrow made news back in October 2024, when they were photographed filming scenes in which their characters make out in Central Park.
“I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie,” Paltrow later told Vanity Fair in an April cover story. “There’s a lot — a lot.”
In a later interview with Vanity Fair, published in December, Paltrow opened up more about sex scenes, including why she once declined to film one with her Great Expectations costar Ethan Hawke because of her father.
Speaking with Hawke, 55, about the 1998 movie adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel, the pair recalled that Paltrow was pitched a sex scene by the film’s director, Alfonso Cuarón, but she opted against it.
“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, my father’s going to have a heart attack,’ ” Paltrow recalled, referring to her dad, Bruce Paltrow. She later added that she was “really self-conscious about my dad and grandfather seeing this kind of stuff.”
Marty Supreme is in theaters now.
