New year, new ‘do.

Lizzo unveiled her new hair transformation on Friday, revealing she cut off her shoulder-length black locks and dyed her short curls brown.

“2026 is the year of cutting if off ladies,” the hitmaker, 37, captioned her TikTok post.

In the video, which was set to the tune of “Lady Lady” by rising popular artist Olivia Dean, the “Truth Hurts” songstress hopped on the running trend to show off her new hairstyle to the lyrics, “God I used to love this hair. Now there’s something in the air.”

She opened the video showing off her curly hair and shaking her head as she started her transition. She closed with a quick reel of herself working the short, brown curly look.

She also held her dog in her arms, whose fur bore a striking resemblance to the new color.

The four-time Grammy winner has been known to experiment with some daring hairstyles in the past.

In August 2023, she debuted a blond and pink mullet. The front of her bob was cut at chin length with pink at the ends, the back of her hair was long enough to graze past her collarbones.

In 2020, she shocked her fans when she premiered a green hairstyle while posing nude for a photoshoot she shared to Instagram.

On her body, she covered herself in glittering gold stars by “skin jewelry” artist J. Maskrey. She kept her green theme going with a starry lime-colored manicure, emerald eye makeup and gilded Rory Rockmore earrings ($220).

In one of her more tame hairstyles, she went platinum blonde for the 2025 Met Gala, which was themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

She styled the shoulder-length blonde wig in loose waves and paired the look with a smoky eye and dark lipstick.
