Chase Infiniti reveals best advice Leonardo DiCaprio gave on set of ‘One Battle After Another’
One nugget of wisdom after another.
Rising star Chase Infiniti, who plays Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter in the critically acclaimed movie “One Battle After Another,” says that the Oscar winner was a sage presence on the set of the Paul Thomas Anderson flick.
Infiniti couldn’t point to a particular piece of advice dispensed, but explained it was rather “so many things.”
“I think one of the best pieces of advice I got was honestly just watching him on set and watching his gentle leadership and just complete kindness,” she told Page Six exclusively at the National Board of Review Awards on Tuesday night in Manhattan.
“I think this is whether or not it was something that was directly spoken to me,” she added. “I think that’s something I will cherish and take forward with me for the rest of my life.”
Infiniti, 25, plays DiCaprio’s daughter in the black comedy thriller, which also stars Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro and Regina Hall.
The actress was on-hand at the starry gala to accept the award for breakthrough performance for her screen debut.
The physically arduous role left her with “many bruises, many cuts, but it was 1,000 percent rewarding,” Infiniti told Page Six. “I don’t regret any single part of my journey filming it because I wanted to make sure that I gave 120 percent to everything because it’s being shot on film, and it’s also a Paul Thomas Anderson film.
“It’s a chance I’m not going to take lightly, and I’m going to make sure I don’t waste it.”
The “Presumed Innocent” alum, whose life has surely changed in the last few months, stressed that she’s not worried about “friends” who might pop up now.
“I think that I’m a person who has a strong sense of intuition,” she explained, “and I really try to surround myself with people that I think align with me spiritually and mentally…So, I’m surrounded by a group of people who I trust, and I think have the same values and the same ideas as me.”
Other boldfaced names at the event included Infiniti’s co-stars, DiCaprio and del Toro, along with Rose Byrne, Paul Rudd, Emily Blunt and Amy Ryan.
