‘Heated Rivalry’ star François Arnaud sends pointed message after unfollowing cast
Not so heated rivalry.
François Arnaud sent a pointed message via Instagram Friday after making headlines for unfollowing his fellow “Heated Rivalry” cast members and the show’s creator.
The actor, who plays Scott Hunter on the HBO show, posted a grid featuring three photos of his smiling co-star Hudson Williams flipping off a camera with both hands.
Arnaud similarly gave the bird in the fourth picture.
“Learning from the very best. 👑 @hudsonwilliamsofficial,” the 40-year-old captioned the social media upload.
He added the post to his Story, set to Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe in Anything.”
The song, notably, played in an episode of the same name during Arnaud’s character’s breakup scene with Kip, played by Robbie Graham-Kuntz.
News broke on Thursday that Arnaud had unfollowed Williams, 24, Graham-Kuntz, 29, and Connor Storrie, who plays Ilya Rozanov, while trimming the accounts he follows from over 1,000 to less than 200.
Arnaud, however, now follows all three of the actors — and creator Jacob Tierney — again as of Friday morning, Page Six can confirm.
While the reason for Arnaud’s social media purge remains unclear, he did so amid intense online harassment over jetting out of JFK with Storrie, 25, on Wednesday.
While the duo’s airport sighting sparked dating rumors, some fans raged against Storrie being linked to anyone besides Williams, his love interest on the show.
Reps for Storrie and Arnaud have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
During the press tour, Arnaud floated the idea of ditching his social media altogether on SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mashup.”
“Helen Hunt… who not only followed me and other guys from the show, also commented on an old post of me, an old post,” he explained, noting that this tempted him to “shut the whole thing down.”
Arnaud quipped, “I’m like, ‘Oh delete Instagram now. I don’t need to see anything else.’ … This is how it should end. This is my happy ending.”
His followers raved over his latest post, telling Arnaud his “haters can choke.”
One wrote, “I’m sorry there’s a part of the fandom that is trying to be so invasive and abhorrent to you all and I apologize for that. I hope you’re taking care and looking after one another. And it looks like you are.”
