Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus announces death of baby girl
Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, announced the death of her infant daughter Codi 10 months after she was born prematurely in February 2025.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote atop an Instagram Stories slide on Saturday. In the black and white photo, Broadus cradled her baby in a hospital. She added an angel wing emoji to the announcement.
Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Deuce, took to his own Instagram Stories over the weekend to grieve their daughter, as well.
“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux,” he wrote atop a snapshot of himself embracing the infant. “But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby,” he concluded.
Broadus, 26, shared on January 6 that she was finally allowed to bring her baby home after 10 months in the NICU.
“She’s home. 🤍” Broadus captioned an Instagram carousel of herself snuggling the baby in bed. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨”
She shared the post to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, adding atop the post, “20 days later? Dawg I’m sick.”
Cori — whom the iconic rapper shares with Shante Broadus — announced the birth of her daughter in an emotional social media post last year.
“The princess arrived at 6 months 🥹👶🏽🎀,” the CHOC businesswoman captioned a Feb. 28 Instagram post, alongside a pic of a tiny foot.
“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!”
She added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Via Instagram Stories, she shared that the baby was born via C section and that it was a “success.”
She followed up with another Instagram Story saying that she “was developing ‘HELLP SYNDROME’ which is very severe and can even cause death if untreated,” referencing a pregnancy complication that can affect the blood system and liver.
She’d previously told E! News that a diagnosis of lupus (an autoimmune condition) made her pregnancy “high risk.”
Cori’s followers on Instagram gathered in the comments threads of posts about her daughter to offer words of comfort following the sad announcement.
“Condolences to the family 😢” one person wrote, while another added, “She was so adorable.” Another follower wrote, “heart broke instantly.”
