Andy Cohen has weighed in on former Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin’s firing from the upcoming E! spinoff.

“We went to see & Juliet on Broadway, which Kandi Burruss is starring in,” Andy, 57, said on the Wednesday, February 11, episode of his Radio Andy show on SiriusXM. “It was really fun, there were [so many] Housewives there.”

“I don’t really have anything to say about it, besides call E!” Andy quipped. “If you want further comment, call E!”

Us Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, February 10, that Jill, 62, was axed from E! network’s upcoming series The Golden Life, which is about former RHONY stars’ lives in Florida.

“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life,” a statement shared with Us read. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”

While Andy attempted to dodge further questions about Jill’s firing, he did point out that she previously was “let go in season 4” of the original RHONY.

“[She] talked about it with me so much on camera, off camera — and was finally coming back,” Andy said. “Then, a week after the announcement? But … I will never get over the sight of the Zarin Fabrics Instagram account … posting a picture of Jill with an X over it. I never thought that I would see the day.”

Jill was fired from The Golden Life after she posted and deleted critical comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show on Sunday, February 8.

Her former company, Zarin Fabrics, subsequently distanced itself from her in an Instagram statement the next day.

“Zarin Fabrics stands firmly against racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or diminish people based on identity, culture, or background,” the company wrote on Monday, February 9. “We want to be absolutely clear that Jill Zarin has not had ownership of or been associated with Zarin Fabrics for several years. Our company operates independently, and any public statements attributed to her are made in a personal capacity and do not reflect our values, beliefs, or operations.”

While Jill has not commented on the fabric brand’s statement, she released her own message about the firing.

“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Jill told In Touch in a Tuesday, February 10, statement. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
