Jack Schlossberg reveals sister Tatiana’s final words to him before tragic death

Jack Schlossberg revealed his late sister Tatiana Schlossberg’s last words to him were about his campaign.

The 33-year-old aspiring congressman told “CBS Sunday Morning” viewers over the weekend that he “knows she’s still rooting for” his political career.

“The last thing that she said to me was, ‘You better win,’” Jack revealed on Sunday. “No one knew me better, and I knew no one better than her.”

He also reflected on growing up with Tatiana, who lost her battle to acute myeloid leukemia in December 2025 at 35, and their older sister, Rose Schlossberg.

“It’s brutal [to have two sisters]. Absolutely brutal,” Jack said. “They don’t let you get away with anything. My style is never good enough. I’ve never gotten an answer right in my entire life.”

However, he acknowledged, “In all honesty, they taught me everything I know about how to be a strong person.”

Jack and Rose — along with their parents, Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, Tatiana’s husband, George Moran, and the couple’s two kids — signed the statement announcing the environmental journalist’s death last year.

“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts,” they wrote at the time.

Jack subsequently took to Instagram to share a variety of quotes, kicking off with a line from Tatiana’s “Inconspicuous Consumption” book, published in 2019.

“It’s up to us to create a country that takes seriously its obligations to the planet,” it read. “Essentially, what I am describing is hard work with possibly limited success for the rest of your life. But we have to do it.”

Jack followed this with screenshots of poems about grief, as well as quotes from former presidents, including their grandfather John F. Kennedy.

The social media tribute, which was not captioned, concluded with a throwback snap of Jack and Tatiana standing with their hands over their hearts at an event.

The political commentator paused his campaign to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) in New York’s 12th Congressional District to grieve, resuming in January.

His run for Congress began in November 2025, the same month Tatiana went public with her cancer news in an emotional New Yorker essay.

Jack reacted with an Instagram quote at the time, which read, “Life is short — let it rip.”

Tatiana was diagnosed with the disease in May 2024, immediately after giving birth to daughter Josephine, now 1.

She and Moran, who wed in September 2017 in Massachusetts, welcomed son Edwin in 2022.
