Nelly Furtado modeled an eye-catching silk bodysuit at the Women for Women’s event this week, months after clapping back at online trolls.

In photos from the Toronto event earlier this week, Furtado posed in the midnight blue jumpsuit, which featured a corset-style bodice and spaghetti straps.

She layered the look with a matching blazer, a sash tied at the waist and sparkling pump heels.

Furtado finished the chic look with a soft pink makeup glam, several rings and statement earrings. In a clip, she took the stage to be honored with the Trailblazer award, as the audience cheered her on.

“Feeling incredibly grateful to have attended the @wcbfdn’s 15th Annual Women for Women’s event and so honoured to be recognized as the 2026 Trailblazer 🥹!” she captioned the photos on Thursday.

“Being surrounded by so many inspiring women and their stories was a beautiful reminder of how important community and supporting one another is!”

“Thank you to the Women’s College Hospital Foundation for such an awesome afternoon 🩷 Happy International Women’s Month!”

In the comments thread, fans gushed over the sleek ensemble, with one person writing, “Absolutely stunning – icon 😍” and another remarking, “Thank you for inspiring us 💗🌹”

The awards show appearance comes months after the “Powerless” hitmaker, 47, mocked online body shamers with a pointed fashion statement, following criticism of her outfits and body.

At Manchester Pride last August, the Grammy winner performed in an oversized shirt with a drawing of an hourglass figure in a crop top, miniskirt and a belt reading “Whoa Nelly,” referencing her 2000 debut album.

On the back, the cartoon body had a tattoo reading, “Better than ever” in cursive lettering. She also wore fishnets and colorful boots for the performance, during which she lifted the T-shirt to show her backside as she rocked a pair of boy shorts.

In January 2025, the songstress took to Instagram in a bright orange halter bikini to address speculation about her body.

“This year I became aware of the aesthetic pressure of my work in a brand new way, while simultaneously I experienced new levels of self -love and genuine confidence from within,” she wrote at the time, urging fans to “have a body neutral 2025,” and to “love with every inch of your heart.”

“For whoever cares, I have never had any face or body surgeries or augmentation, besides for veneers on the top row of my teeth, quite recently,” she explained. “So far, I have not had any face or lip injections or fillers of any kind.”

In October, Furtado revealed she was stepping away from the mic to focus on other areas of her life.

“25 years later, my music has reached a whole new generation of fans and I couldn’t be happier about that,” she wrote via Instagram while celebrating the 25th anniversary of her “Whoa Nelly!” debut.

“I have decided to step away from performance for the foreseeable future and pursue some other creative and personal endeavours that I feel would better suit this next phase of my life,” she wrote in part.

“I’m grateful for all the years of fun, community and wonder.”
