Bethenny Frankel defends Amanda Batula, West Wilson romance
Bethenny Frankel is giving her “blind take” about West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s romance.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum filmed a TikTok while out to dinner on Tuesday night and defended the “Summer House” stars — despite admitting that she doesn’t know who they are.
“A, was this on a reality show with producers and a network that stands to profit in the same way as Scandoval?” she said, referencing the infamous 2023 “Vanderpump Rules” cheating scandal between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss.
“OK, we move on.”
Frankel continued, “B, did the people that were ‘friends’ meet on the show? Because if that’s the case, we have to shave several points off friendship, because the network wants you to think they were all friends, but they’re not really friends, and they won’t be friends after.”
The SkinnyGirl founder continued her defense of Batula, 34, and Wilson, 31, by pointing out that the Bravo show involves plenty of drinking and drama.
“If these are all in fact true, and this couple that is now a couple, they’re grown ass consenting adults,” she stated.
“Whoever it is that you’re gonna go drag, bully and cane like you did to the last drunken-fueled show that made tens of millions of dollars and soaring ratings from your rabid obsession with people who never met who are just young kids f–king and loving, then we move on,” she added, again referencing “Vanderpump Rules.”
Frankel concluded, “Whoever these two people are together now, go with God. I’ll be happy to sell them an appropriate wedding dress. You’re welcome.”
She captioned her TikTok, “Fight me in the comments.”
On Tuesday, Batula and Wilson issued a joint statement confirming their secret “connection” following weeks of speculation and mounting evidence.
“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” they said. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
The pair added, “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.
Batula is best friends with Wilson’s ex, Ciara Miller, whom he dated for several months in 2023.
Minutes after Batula and Wilson posted their shocking statement, Miller, 30, was photographed slumped over on a NYC sidewalk being comforted by an unidentified male companion.
Page Six has learned that Batula and Wilson are in a “full blown relationship” and that their co-stars — including Miller and Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke — are “pissed” and “disappointed.”
Miller has since unfollowed both Batula and Wilson on Instagram.
