Jinger Duggar is trying to find the good during a challenging time in her extended family’s life.

“It’s been a hard season,” Jinger, 32, said on the Wednesday, April 1, episode of “The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast,” seemingly referencing legal drama with her brother Joseph Duggar. “It reopens wounds from the past and that’s hard, but then also, looking on the other side of it, now moving forward, having joy in the little things.”

Jinger explained how she continues to rely on good friends and her faith to get her through challenging times.

According to the former Counting On star, it’s the tough moments that remind her how loyal her God is.

“Yeah, there are seasons where spiritually, you will be very encouraged and everything is really deep and happy and joyful,” she explained to her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. “But then in seasons of hardship and trial, I think it shows you … God is carrying you through, and you’re relying on him.”

Us Weekly previously confirmed on March 18 that Joseph, 31, was arrested in Arkansas amid accusations of abuse from a teen girl who was 9 years old at the time of the alleged misconduct.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. Us later confirmed Joseph was released on bail on Tuesday, March 31.

Although Jinger did not discuss the legal case during her podcast, she expressed gratitude for friends who have shown up and offered support during what she describes as a challenging time.

“I’m really grateful for community, especially in seasons like this where it’s been hard with all that we’ve had to walk through again,” she said. “Having people who care genuinely about you and reach out and drop off homemade muffins at your door, do park dates, do coffee runs, whatever it is. Those little things and just texting saying, ‘I’m praying for you, and I’m here if you need anything.’ That means the world.”
