Prince William and Kate Middleton Are All Smiles Celebrating 15th Anniversary With Their Kids
Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton shared a new family photo to celebrate a major relationship milestone.
“Celebrating 15 years of marriage,” the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media accounts captioned the image posted on Wednesday, April 29.
William, 43, and Kate, 44, are seen lying in the grass alongside kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8, for the photo. The family’s two dogs also made an appearance in the image.
Kate is photographed lying in the middle, taking her rightful place as the family’s matriarch. She is holding hands with Louis, who is lying on one side of his mother with Charlotte next to him. On Kate’s other side is George, who is in between his mom and dad. William is on the end, alongside the family’s pets.
William and Kate met while studying at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. They were together during their time at school but had a brief split in 2007. The duo eventually reconciled and tied the knot in April 2011 — with the world watching.
They’ve offered an inside look into their home life with the kids on brief occasions over the years. When celebrating their 10th anniversary in April 2021, the couple shared a video montage that showed them exploring the English countryside with their three children.
“Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary,” the couple wrote at the time. “We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W&C.”
The duo has also experienced a series of ups and downs throughout their marriage. Their relationship was put to the test after Kate announced in March 2024 that she was diagnosed with cancer. The Princess of Wales praised her husband by sticking by her side throughout the health scare.
“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too, as is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you,” Kate told royal watchers when announcing her cancer diagnosis. “It means so much to us both. We hope that you’ll understand that as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment.”
As William continued to attend public-facing events amid Kate’s cancer treatment, he offered sweet words about his wife. After Kate announced in September 2024 that she had completed chemotherapy, William shared a promising update about her health journey.
Kate is “doing what [she] can to stay cancer-free,” William said during a visit to South Wales at the time. “It’s good news, but there is still a long way to go.”
