Summer House’s West Wilson Explains Why He Hopes the New York Knicks Lose Game 5 of NBA Finals
Summer House star West Wilson is all about “Knicks in six” — yes, even if it means the team loses another NBA Finals game.
“This could be the best f***ing thing ever,” Wilson, 31, said on the Friday, June 12, episode of his “Show Me Something” podcast. “I thought [by] Tuesday … I thought I was going to get to catch my breath and we were all moving on, and they were like, ‘Bonus episode next week.’ I was like, ‘Motherf***ing f***.”
Bravo’s three-part Summer House season 10 reunion wrapped earlier this week before the network greenlit a special bonus episode titled “The Aftermath.” The episode turned the cameras back on to capture the emotional fallout from the tell-all reunion amid the cast’s recent drama. The “Aftermath” is set to air Tuesday, June 16, which overlaps with a potential Game 6 of the NBA finals.
The New York Knicks play the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, June 13, for a chance to win the championship. If the Spurs score their second victory of the series instead, they’ll force a Game 6 and the two teams will return to New York City’s Madison Square Garden for another matchup.
“If the Spurs win Saturday and they go back to MSG and they play game 6, it will be Tuesday night [at] the same time they air this f***ing, goddamn bonus episode,” Wilson said. “Give me f***ing Knicks in 6 at the same time as this s*** on TV. I will be the happiest person in the motherf***ing world.”
He continued, “I swear to God, give me the Spurs Saturday and the Knicks on f***ing Tuesday night, and we will pop champagne on this f***ing podcast Wednesday.”
The Summer House season 10 reunion revolved around Wilson’s relationship with costar Amanda Batula, who announced her separation from husband Kyle Cooke earlier this year. The romance was also particularly surprising to Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson and was close friends with Batula, 34.
While Wilson and Batula attempted to quell speculation of relationship overlap during the reunion, they sat down with Cooke, 43, and Lindsay Hubbard, respectively, on “The Aftermath” to further clear the air.
“Kyle and Lindsay met up first in person [before sitting down with West and Amanda] and talked about rising above it all and getting to the bottom of the drama,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday. “They don’t feel there were answers at the reunion. They are concerned about Amanda. They don’t trust West.”
Per the insider, Cooke even attempted to ask Wilson whether he loved Batula and if the scandal “has been worth it.”
