Brooklyn Beckham Celebrates Father-in-Law Nelson Peltz’s Birthday Amid Family Feud: ‘The Best’
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham shared a sweet message for father-in-law Nelson Peltz’s birthday amid his estrangement from his own family.
“Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much,” Brooklyn, 27, shared via Instagram Stories earlier this week. “I’m so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law.”
Brooklyn shared a photo of him and Nelson, 84, with their arms around each other.
Brooklyn’s wife and Nelson’s daughter, Nicola Peltz Beckham, shared a tribute of her own.
“Happy birthday dad! I love celebrating you! I feel truly blessed to have grown up watching you be such an incredible role model in every way possible,” she captioned an Instagram post on Wednesday, June 24. “You’re the best father I could ever dream of. you love us all unconditionally, encourage us that our dreams are never too big to chase and to always always be a good human before all else.”
The series of photos included Brooklyn photographed with Nelson and Nicola’s extended family.
“I love you more than you could ever know!” Nicola’s message concluded. “I hope all your wishes come true and this is your best year yet, you deserve everything perfect!”
Brooklyn’s post for his father-in-law’s birthday comes amid the tension with his own father, David Beckham.
Despite their family feud, David, 51, still included Brooklyn in his Father’s Day tribute earlier this month.
“Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham For giving me our beautiful family,” he captioned an Instagram post with his kids. “Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.”
Along with Brooklyn, David included images with sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, along with daughter Harper, 14.
Rumors of a rift between the Beckham family have been swirling for years, with Brooklyn confirming the drama in a scathing Instagram post this past January.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” Brooklyn wrote, in part. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
While his parents have dodged several questions about the topic, Victoria Beckham addressed the tension in an April interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she said at the time. “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
