Love Island USA’s Kenzie Reveals She Got a Boob Job Before the Show: ‘I Wanted to Feel Like a Woman’
Love Island USA’s Kenzie Annis opened up about her decision to get a boob job shortly before season 8 began.
“I got [bangs] because I was changing up my look. And when you’re in clinicals [as a nurse], you have to have your hair all the way pulled back. I was never allowed to have hair pieces, so I did that,” Kenzie recalled on the Wednesday, July 15, episode of “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “Then I was like, ‘What else am I gonna do with the break?’ I’ve always wanted tits.”
Kenzie said she decided to “buy boobs” during her break from nursing school, adding, “That’s what I did on my time off. So when I came back, They were like, ‘Who is this?’”
Though she got the procedure done shortly before entering the villa, Kenzie clarified that “it was not for the show” specifically.
“It was just because growing up you’re like, ‘What do you want?’ You want boobs as a woman,” she noted. “I wanted to feel like a woman. I got, like, 400 cc.”
Kenzie confirmed that she was the one who paid for the augmentation, saying that she used her “nanny money.”
Love Island USA viewers grew accustomed to Kenzie’s unfiltered candor throughout season 8 of the hit Peacock series. Kenzie explored numerous connections during her time in the villa, initially forming a bond with Zach Georgiou before recoupling with Corbin Mims.
Ultimately, America stepped in and switched her partner to Caleb McDaniel. She was reunited with Corbin shortly before he headed to Casa Amor, but they weren’t able to survive the relationship test. After being caught in another love triangle, Kenzie left the villa with Dylan Wrona.
“I don’t know why the girls were holding me to a different standard,” Kenzie said on Wednesday’s episode about the backlash she received in the villa for exploring different connections. “Especially after getting out, it does feel, like, sexist almost, because I’m not a male and it’s like I can’t move like them maybe.”
Kenzie struggled with the way her dating life was discussed on the show.
“It was hard. I didn’t feel that supported at that time,” she noted. “[It] probably [did impact my friendships] a little bit. Just when you don’t feel as supported as you want to feel [by] your friends. But we did get over it and we talked about it. But yeah, it definitely hurt.”
She continued: “I was feeling like I wasn’t allowed to talk to two people at once. It just made no sense in my mind. I’m like, ‘Where are we right now?’ I’m very confused and feeling like I was just getting s*** on over and over for exploring when no one was closed off.”
Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock.
