Cannes security guard scolded by Kelly Rowland gets shoved by actress Massiel Taveras in another heated incident
The Cannes Film Festival security guard who received a public scolding from Kelly Rowland found herself involved in another heated exchange earlier this week.
Dominican actress Massiel Taveras was caught shoving the female staffer after being rushed up the red steps where she had been attempting to show off her gown and its long train, which featured an image of Jesus Christ.
It’s unclear what Taveras said to the security guard, but a now-viral video captured the tense interaction between the two.
Taveras, 39, was visibly agitated with the female guard who appeared to be preventing her from adjusting her train and stopping to pose for photographers.
Once at the top of the stairs, the actress gave a final wave to the crowd before pushing off the security guard who touched her while trying to usher her inside the building.
Kelly Rowland seemed to have a similar exchange with the same security guard while walking the red carpet ahead of the “Marcello Mio” premiere.
The former Destiny’s Child member, 43, was seen with her finger raised in the woman’s face as she seemingly reprimanded the guard.
The same staffer also appeared to be rushing Rowland off the red carpet and away from the crowd and photographers.
An expert lip reader previously told Page Six that the “Motivation” songstress allegedly told the worker to watch how she spoke to her.
“Don’t talk to me like that. Don’t talk to me like that,” she repeatedly shouted at the woman. “You’re not my mother. I told you not to talk to me like that.”
Rowland later opened up about the incident during an interview with AP News on Thursday.
“That woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” she said while attending the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes Gala. “I have a boundary and I stand by those boundaries.”
Rowland also alluded to race being a factor in the incident.
“There were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me and they didn’t get scolded, or pushed off, or told to get off,” Rowland continued.
“I stood my ground and she felt like she had to stand hers. But I stood my ground.”
