Margot Robbie’s husband Tom Ackerley reveals the one thing they fight about at home
Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley have revealed the one thing they keep arguing over behind closed doors.
The duo, who have been married since 2016, are notoriously private about their home life and relationship.
But in a new interview with The Times of London, the couple have shared some rare insight into their marriage.
When asked if they ever bicker at home, Ackerley said the pair clash over chocolate snacks from their respective home countries.
Ackerley, who hails from England, said the pair specifically have disagreements over “whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better.”
Tim Tams are a famous Australian treat consisting of two malted biscuits separated by a hard chocolate cream filling.
Whereas Ackerley’s fave is a slightly thicker chocolate bar.
Elsewhere, he said he wished “there was more of a sporting rivalry” between Australia and the UK, adding that he “feels like an honorary Aussie” while “Margot feels like an honorary Brit.”
The pair, who do not have children, revealed that when they’re not pulled apart by work obligations, they spend “24 hours a day” together.
And despite the fact that they work closely together, Ackerley admits that they make a conscious effort not to separate business and pleasure.
“It’s seamless,” he shared. “We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
While they’re private about their personal lives, Ackerley had been a regular fixture on the red carpet during last year’s “Barbie” press tour.
The Brit appeared next to his famous wife on the red carpet on numerous occasions, and even read an acceptance speech for Robbie, 33, at Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles after she lost her voice.
The couple met on the set of the World War II drama “Suite Française” where Ackerley, 34, was working as third AD.
The pair then became roommates before falling in love and eventually tied the knot in a secret Australian wedding in December 2016.
The pair co-founded a production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, with two other pals in 2014 and have since worked on “I, Tonya” and “Birds of Prey” before serving as co-producers on “Barbie.”
