Troubled real estate mogul Patrick Carroll arrested in Los Angeles, flees from police: report
Gun-obsessed real estate mogul Patrick Carroll is in trouble again.
Miami-based Carroll was arrested on Monday night for DUI and weapons after getting out of his car and attempting to flee from police in Los Angeles.
Local news helicopters caught the dramatic scene, with the report stating that, “the suspect got out of the car and ran down the embankment, but the officers were able to find him pretty quickly. DUI but then they allegedly recovered some weapons.”
A rep for Carroll did not return a request for comment.
The wealthy developer, who has reportedly signed a deal to sell his company for some $80 million, has previously made Page Six headlines for partying at celebrity studded events alongside the likes of Leo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx and Mayor Eric Adams, but has become plagued with scandal.
In March, Miami police descended on his mansion following reports of gunshots at his home.
There was also video of Carroll shooting off rounds, which he said were blanks, from a boat.
He was picked up by police under the Baker Act — a Florida law that allows authorities to take people in for psychiatric evaluation if family or friends are concerned about their welfare or the safety of others.
A judge signed a “risk protection order” and Carroll was forced to surrender his guns.
He has also been banned from a number of Miami’s hippest restaurants, including the sceney Carbone — after he appeared to spit on a host at a different restaurant when the staffer asked him to reportedly stop hitting on a woman who was on a date with someone else.
In August 2022, he got into a brawl with someone at an after party for the star-studded Unicef gala in Capri, Italy.
Carroll had donated $1.5 million to the charity during the event, but later canceled it calling the organization “fraudulent” and claiming, it went “technically not to Unicef but rather to the [Capri event’s] ‘membership committee.”
In February, he spent a fortune at Tom Ford to score an invite to the luxury brand’s Milan fashion show, only to try and return the clothes after the event.
Carroll previously said this was untrue and eloquently stated, “F–k you, Page Six!” about the incident.
