Peter Andre has given fans an update on the name of his third child with wife Emily.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker, 51, was delighted to share that the couple welcomed a baby girl last week. Their bundle of joy weighed 7lb 3oz, and was born at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton. Peter said that they were feeling “overwhelmed” and he “couldn’t be happier”. He also confirmed that Emily, 34, and their daughter were doing “amazing” and that all his children were in love with their sibling.
However, they also shared how they haven’t decided on a name for their little girl. The loved-up couple, already shared daughter Amelia, 10, and son Theo, 8, while Peter is dad to Princess, 16, and Junior, 18, from his romance with Katie Price. On Thursday, Peter shared an intimate photo with Emily taken just moment before she gave birth.
She was flooded with comments praising how “flawless” she looked. Peter was also asked by many fans if they’d decided on a name. He told one follower: “STILL no name. It’s driving us nuts.” Someone else asked: “Any name picked up for yor sweet little Baby yet??@peterandre.” The dad-of-five replied: “Still no name. Literally struggling. She doesn’t look like any one the names we have thought of.”
One fan suggested the name Athena, to which Peter replied: “I love Athena … and it’s greek.” He had posted a snap of himself in blue scrubs as he embraced Emily and held her stomach. The mum-of-three beamed at the camera as she stood in a hospital corridor in her gown. Peter captioned the touching photo: “Moments before … Emily… always smiling. @dr_emily_official.”
Despite not having picked a name yet, the dad-of-five previously shared his favourite names which he hoped Emily would agree with. Writing in his New Magazine column, the star wrote: “I was reading about a few baby names that are apparently on the brink of ‘extinction’, and it looks like the most endangered in 2024 is Keanu for a boy and Flo, a shortened version of Florence, for a girl.
“I really like Keanu. It’s crazy to think names could be wiped out. Maybe this will give us some inspiration, but we have no idea what we’ll call the baby. Millie didn’t get her name for the first six weeks of her life, as we started with Rose before settling on Millie,” he added.
When announcing the birth of his child, Peter shared photos of himself and Emily cuddling their precious bundle of joy. He said: “Just minutes old…… We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family. Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy. Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn’t be happier. Only thing is…. She has no name yet. Help.”
