Bhad Bhabie’s mom slams claim daughter is lying about cancer diagnosis: ‘How dare you?’
Cash her outside if you make any comments about her daughter.
Bhad Bhabie’s mother, Barbara Bregoli, slammed those speculating that the infamous “Dr. Phil” personality may have lied about having cancer in a recent social media post.
“How dare you? You little vile piece of s–t [to] say my daughter would lie about something like that,” the “heated” matriarch said in a video on Instagram Friday.
Bregoli then revealed she has had cancer “twice” to further prove why her daughter was being honest.
On Thursday, Bhabie sparked confusion online when she reacted to comments about her weight loss via an Instagram Story by writing, “I’m Sorry my cancer medicine made me loose [sic] weight.”
“Im slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives,” she added.
It was the first time the “Gucci Flip Flops” rapper, 21, had ever mentioned her diagnosis, so people were surprised by the casual revelation.
However, a family source confirmed to TMZ that Bhabie — whose real name is Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli — does have cancer and is under the care of a doctor. The specifics of her illness remain unknown.
The “Miss Understood” rapper’s cancer battle comes less than a year after she welcomed her first child with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Le Vaughn, whom she’s accused of being abusive.
Aside from her mom, several of Bhabie’s fans have come to her defense and sent her well-wishes.
“People need to have more empathy instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming. Let’s pray for her and send her strength not make jokes,” one person commented on Instagram.
Another pointed out, “You all did the same thing to Selena Gomez meanwhile she has lupus and had a kidney transplant and tends to have weight fluctuations. Stop commenting on a women’s body just because they aren’t your type. Not everything to do with looks is drug related.”
The reaction to Bhabie’s health issues also reminded her fans of what Chadwick Boseman experienced.
Before the “Black Panther” star died at age 43 in August 2020 from colon cancer, many people expressed concern — or even made jokes — about his changed appearance.
Earlier this year, comedian Jess Hilarious expressed remorse for trolling the actor, saying on “The Pivot Podcast,” “I thought he was, you know, some people really get into the roles that they, you know, lose weight for a role or something like that.
“I riffed on him, and everybody thought it was funny and cool, even myself until he passed.”
