Meghan Markle’s return to Instagram includes her go-to fashion brands
Meghan Markle is back on Instagram after a five-year hiatus.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, started the new year with her first post on her new solo account, @meghan.
For her social media debut, Markle opted for a video of herself, captured by her husband, Prince Harry, 40, frolicking on the beach near the royal couple’s home in Montecito, California, where they live with their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
She begins the clip, posted on January 1, with her back facing the camera as she’s running near the water and then writes, “2025” in the sand.
Quickly turning to the camera at the end, the mother of two donned her signature uniform — a flowy white button-down and coordinating straight-leg jeans.
Her new profile photo, shot by friend Jake Rosenberg, also sees Markle in two of her reliable brands.
The “Suits” alum, who is beaming in the black-and-white photo, wears a slinky white maxi dress ($980 $490) by Khaite, layered with a lacy bra.
She paired the elegant number with her beloved diamond tennis necklace ($13,795) from Logan Hollowell.
Markle has rocked the luxe piece for various royal affairs, including most recently last month at the Paley Honors Fall Gala.
She’s also sported the mixed-shape accessory to the One Year to Go Dinner during the Invictus Games in February as well as a Women in Leadership event in May.
She wore her long brown hair in a middle part and appeared to have opted for minimal makeup.
Her first post has been highly anticipated, as Markle secured her Instagram handle in 2023.
The year prior, Markle told The Cut she was thinking about returning to social media after deactivating her account due to online bullying.
“Do you want to know a secret?” she told the New York Magazine offshoot. “I’m getting back…on Instagram.”
The Duchess of Sussex and her husband previously shared their joint account @sussexroyal, run by Buckingham Palace officials, which they stopped using in 2020.
Markle has a big year ahead of her, as she’s set to launch her Netflix show, which will be about “cooking, gardening and entertaining,” in early 2025.
What’s more, the royal is expected to (finally) launch her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
The label, which will center around home, garden, food and general lifestyle wares, debuted its first product in April — jars of fresh jam.
Markle’s new Instagram account is just the beginning.
