Sterling K. Brown shares how Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia are doing after LA fires

Sterling K. Brown gave an update on Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia as they deal with the aftermath of the Los Angeles wildfires.
The “Paradise” actor shared in a new interview that he checked in on his former “This Is Us” co-stars after hearing they had to evacuate their homes.
“Talked to Milo, talked to Mandy, talked to them both. It’s difficult,” Brown, 48, told “Extra” Thursday. “They’re just very much in the midst of all of it. It’s one day at a time.”
On Jan. 7, wildfires erupted in the Pacific Palisades before quickly spreading through LA and burning down entire neighborhoods.
Hundreds of thousands of people were forced to evacuate, including Moore and Ventimiglia, who played married couple Jack and Rebecca Pearson in the NBC drama.
The “A Walk to Remember” actress, who shares three young children with husband Taylor Goldsmith, said at the time that she was “praying and grateful for the first responders.”
Moore, 40, later shared with her social media followers that the main area of her home had been spared by the Eaton Fire, but her in-laws’ place was destroyed.
Ventimiglia, on the other hand, was not as fortunate, as he was forced to watch his Malibu, Calif., home burn down through a security camera.
During an interview with CBS News on Jan. 9, the “Gilmore Girls” alum, 47, cried as he walked through the property, which he described as “toast,” after he and his pregnant wife, Jarah Mariano, were forced to flee.
“You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house and whatnot, and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around, and your heart just breaks,” he said.
“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, this is happening,’” Ventimiglia added of watching his home being engulfed by flames via security cameras.
“And at a certain point, we just turned it off. What good is it to continue watching? We kind of accepted the loss.”
The actor detailed trying to grab ”everything they could think of” while evacuating. However, they still lost a lot, including their baby’s crib.
Ventimiglia also referenced “This Is Us,” in which his character died after the family’s home was engulfed in flames due to a pressure cooker explosion.
“It’s not lost on me life imitating art,” he said after the tragedy.
Ventimiglia and Mariano, who secretly married in 2023, are expecting their first child.
