Hilary Davidson returns with another gripping novel.

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the cover of the author’s forthcoming book, Every Lie I Told. The thriller is out next summer from Blackstone Publishing.

The novel follows Jackie Swift, who works at a high-power public relations firm — and who has a tendency to protect the business’s “questionable clients,” per the book’s official synopsis. Jackie’s business also extends to her family, as she’s helped her younger sister, Madi, escape the consequences of her dangerous actions before.

But Jackie’s personal and professional lives collide when she receives a phone call from Madi one night, asking if she has Narcan. Jackie learns that her sister is calling from the home of Jackie’s former boss, and when she arrives at the scene, she finds her former employer dead and Madi missing.

Every Lie I Told recounts Jackie’s gripping journey to find her sister, now a murder suspect.

“I grew up reading novels with clear-cut heroes and villains, and I’m excited for people to read Every Lie I Told because it’s the opposite,” Davidson says. “Every character is guilty of something. It’s a book about how the consequences of bad choices add up, and how devastating it is when a person is finally forced to face them.”

Davidson is also the author of the standalone novels Her Last Breath and Blood Always Tells, as well as 18 books of nonfiction. Born in Toronto, she now lives in New York City.

Every Lie I Told will be published on June 16, 2026, and is now available for preorder, wherever books are sold.
