Aaron Phypers accuses Denise Richards of having affair with ‘Special Forces’ instructor Rudy Reyes
Aaron Phypers is accusing his estranged wife, Denise Richards, of having a six-month affair with her “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Challenge” instructor Rudy Reyes.
“Privately, I’ve wrestled with the painful truth: that Denise has been involved in an ongoing affair with her ‘Special Forces‘ instructor, Rudy Reyes — something I confronted her about earlier this year,” Phypers, 49, recently alleged to Richards’ family and friends in an explosive letter obtained by Page Six.
“She begged me not to leave, saying it was nothing and that she only loved me. Then, she denied it all — even the explicit messages I found. Despite her promise to stop, more lies and shocking evidence emerged.”
In an interview with the Daily Mail, which was first to report on Reyes’ identity, Phypers claimed he found out about the alleged affair in April upon discovering more than 100 sexts between Richards, 54, and Reyes on her phone, including photos, videos and details of the multiple alleged hookups they’d had.
“I just had this feeling that something was off because her behavior had changed — she was being kind of cool to me,” Phypers alleged to the outlet.
“I opened her phone — we both know each other’s passwords — so I opened it up and then I went to her deleted texts, and there were 107 of them between her and this guy.”
Phypers, who referred to Reyes, 53, as a “w—-r,” said the alleged messages “broke [his] heart.”
Despite Richards’ purported promise to stop the dalliance, she allegedly began hooking up with Reyes again in May, which Phypers found out about over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
“She offered to rebuild trust by letting me see her phone,” he claimed to the Daily Mail. “Well, it turns out she’s got another number, too, which I just found out about.”
He alleged, “She’s been setting up times to meet him out of town while creating fights with me,” claiming in his letter that “she flies Rudy to private hotels under the guise of ‘work trips.’”
During the explosive confrontation, Richards allegedly stole and destroyed Phypers’ phone after realizing he had sent himself her conversations with Reyes, some of which were published by the Daily Mail.
Phypers filed for divorce from Richards that Monday after nearly seven years of marriage and requested spousal support.
In response, the actress filed for — and was granted — a temporary restraining order against Phypers, whom she accused of physical abuse.
Not only has Phypers repeatedly denied any violence toward Richards, but he has claimed that she “needs [an] intervention” for her alleged addiction to the painkiller Vicodin.
“She’s got a real problem. She mixes it, too, with booze, and she stays up all night,” he alleged to the Daily Mail, claiming that “she buys them in bottles of 500 pills.”
He theorized, “I don’t know what the market rate for those are, but it’s $10, $20, $30, $50 each pill. You do the math — a lot of money is going out the window for that.”
Phypers went on to claim that Richards doesn’t clean up after her multiple pets, which has caused stress on both him and his parents, especially since he and the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum have moved homes six times in less than a decade.
Reps for Richards and Reyes have not responded to Page Six’s repeated requests for comments.
However, when Season 3 of “Special Forces” began airing in January, Reyes — who was seemingly still engaged to fiancée Jade Struck at the time — told Page Six about how he deals with temptation and “fan thirst.”
“It’s tough with the missus. … I said, ‘Honey, you run the social medias.’ Then she’d still get mad! ‘Who is this bitch?’ I don’t know! … Now all of a sudden, she’s telling me to always put a shirt on,” he claimed.
“It’s tough sometimes for our family ’cause they do gotta share us a little bit, but we know how to hold boundaries, too.”
Reyes reportedly told his Instagram followers in February that he and Struck were “not together anymore,” adding that he was taking the “opportunity for growth and improvement.”
During our sit-down, he claimed that serving in the United States Marine Corps made him “the best version” of himself, describing himself as a “father and a family man.” (Reyes has children but does not share any with Struck.)
“What we really wanna do is just have our loved ones and have our family and show our heart,” he told us at the time, adding, “It’s wonderful to see [recruits] going through a discovery process because that’s what we’re doing, too. I’m doing the same thing.”
