ABC News weatherman Rob Marciano fired over ‘anger’ issues, complaints about behavior

ABC News has fired weatherman Rob Marciano due to behavioral misconduct, multiple sources told The New York Post Tuesday.

The meteorologist had reportedly received a warning a year ago when he was temporarily sidelined for “anger management issues.”

However, the acclaimed news network finally gave Marciano the pink slip Tuesday after nearly 10 years there. He had been hired in 2014 to work as their senior meteorologist.

Marciano’s alleged issues came to a head in March 2023, when Page Six exclusively reported that he had been banned from the “Good Morning America” studio in Times Square.

“He was found to have done something … that was improper, but he was punished for it, and they still haven’t let him return,” one insider claimed at the time.

Another source then alleged, “He made people feel uncomfortable. There was a period where there were some issues, a number of alarming events.”

Marciano was fresh out of a divorce from his wife of 11 years, Eryn Marciano. The exes share two kids.

An insider also claimed,“There were times when [Rob] was very cranky and angry … unsavory behavior on his part. He was pulled off to deal with it and he’s been back.”

Rob has not addressed his firing and could not immediately be reached for comment. ABC News also declined The Post’s request to comment on the decision.

However, it appears that Rob getting let go may have caught him off guard.

As recently as Tuesday morning, he was reposting ABC News content via his Instagram Stories, including a video about a storm chaser in Nebraska.
