Adam Sandler and Wife Jackie Share Red Carpet Date Night at 2025 Gotham Awards

Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie had a date night at the 2025 Gotham Awards.

The couple stepped out together at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, Dec. 1 for the first major event of awards season.

Sandler, 59 — a Best Supporting Performance nominee for his work in the Noah Baumbach dramedy Jay Kelly — dressed for the moment in a suit and tie, while Jackie wore a sleek black dress with gold heels and carried a matching gold clutch.

In Jay Kelly, George Clooney plays the titular world-famous movie star who begins to question his life choices and winds up following his daughter (Grace Edwards) to Europe when she goes on a trip with her friends. 

Jay’s decision to drop everything and travel abroad forces his loyal team, including publicist Liz (Laura Dern) and agent Ron (Sandler), among others, to join him.

Ron, for one, feels torn between supporting his client and friend and being present for his family.

Sandler, who earned rave reviews for his performance, is nominated alongside Benicio del Toro (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Indya Moore (Father Mother Sister Brother), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), Andrew Scott (Blue Moon) and Alexander Skarsgard (Pillion).

The Saturday Night Live alum recently told Tudum about relating to the subject matter of the movie, which also features his daughter Sadie, 19, in a supporting role as Ron’s daughter. (Adam and Jackie, 51, are also parents to Sunny, 17, who has also shared the screen with her famous father.)

“Just like anybody with a job, if you can find a way to squeeze [your family] close to you and see them as much as possible, you do it. It’s the kind of business that you go away for a long time. If it’s possible to bring the family, I always try to do that … You don’t want to be apart. It’s your true love. All you think about is your family and your wife and your kids,” he told the outlet.

When PEOPLE asked Sandler on the red carpet Monday what the best part was about working with his daughters, he quickly said, “Just being with them.”

The 2025 Gotham Awards are presented by The Gotham Film & Media Institute, which “celebrates and nurtures independent film and media creators, providing career-building resources, access to industry influencers, and pathways to wider recognition,” according to its statement.
