Alec Baldwin trolls wife Hilaria’s accent as she snaps at him in awkward red carpet interview

Alec Baldwin poked fun at his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s infamous accent during an awkward red carpet interview.

Hilaria was talking with “Extra” about how “essential” it is to stick to a “routine” with her and Alec’s seven children when her husband interrupted her at Planet Hollywood’s reopening in New York City last week.

“[What is] ‘essential’ in Spanish?” Alec asked.

The former yoga instructor, 41, turned to the “30 Rock” star, 66, and replied, “esencial” in a Spanish accent.

“You didn’t let me down,” Alec quipped while looking at the camera and laughing.

The interruption seemed to irritate Hilaria, who instantly snapped at her spouse for “distracting” her during the Q&A.

“Like, now you’re just doing that,” she said to him. “Why? Why are you distracting me?”

Alec quickly apologized but teased that he was “just captivated by [her] beauty.”

“You’re just distracting,” she reiterated. “Oh, my God, stop. You’re annoying me. Stop. It’s not cute. No, he’s distracting me right now. I’m gonna, like, walk out of this interview right now.”

The “It’s Complicated” actor took his wife’s hint, as he moved to the side and let her continue talking to the reporter about her parenting routine.

But Hilaria seemed annoyed throughout the chat, even calling out Alec for talking over her earlier on.

“Oh, my God. When I’m talking, you’re not talking. No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking,” she told him after he cut her off mid-sentence.

The couple spoke with the outlet while promoting their TLC reality show, “The Baldwins,” which follows them and their kids at home in New York City and the Hamptons.

In a recent episode, Hilaria defended her controversial accent that first made headlines in 2020 after fans pointed out that she was born in Boston and not Spain.

“Growing up in a way where you have multiple cultural influences on you means that you’re never going to be able to fit in. You can try,” she said in Sunday’s episode.

“You know, people who code-switch, we’re very good at chameleon-ing … and you don’t even think — you’re not even thinking about it. It’s just normal. It’s just natural.”
