Ali Krieger Reveals She’s Dating Scottish Soccer Star Jen Beattie Following Divorce from Ashlyn Harris

A little over a year since her ex-wife Ashlyn Harris filed for divorce, former soccer star Ali Krieger has confirmed she has a new love in her life.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Nov. 28, Krieger, 40, revealed that she is currently dating Scottish soccer player Jen Beattie, who also made the news public. 

After Beattie, 33, posted a photo of the two laughing while drinking red wine on her Stories with a caption that read, “Thankful for you. Happy Thanksgiving my love @alikrieger ❤️,” Krieger responded with a post of her own, sharing the photo on her Stories and writing, “You have no idea.. ❤️❤️❤️.”

On July 24, Krieger appeared on the She Pivots podcast and shared that she was dating someone new, but said she wanted to keep their identity private at the time.

“I’m dating a wonderful person right now, who I really, really like. I’m, you know, so grateful that we met,” Krieger said at the time. 

She added that she didn’t jump right into a relationship following the end of her marriage to Harris — who is now dating actress Sophia Bush — because she needed to “grieve” the breakdown of their relationship.

“It gave me time from when [Ashlyn] left to really focus on obviously soccer and finishing my career, but then healing my wounds and kind of licking my wounds so to speak,” the retired USWNT star continued.

Krieger added, “I think, now, eight, nine months down the road has now given me time to grieve, and to sort through all those feelings.”

Harris, 39, filed for divorce from Krieger in September 2023, PEOPLE confirmed via the Seminole County Clerk’s website.

The former couple share two children together, daughter Sloane and son Ocean. They tied the knot on Dec. 28, 2019 and were married for nearly four years.

Meanwhile, Krieger’s new love Beattie, who played for English Premier League team Arsenal, previously dated former Love Island: U.K. winner Amber Gill.

Speaking to the Mail Online in March 2023, Gill, 27, told the outlet of her blossoming romance with Beattie, “I just enjoy what I do now, I’m having fun, I’m in a good relationship and that’s all I care about.”
