Alicia Hannah-Kim is accusing her Cobra Kai costar Martin Kove of simple assault.
According to an informational police report obtained by PEOPLE, the stars were at Summer Con in Washington on Sunday, June 22, when the incident occurred. Hannah-Kim, 37, claims that she arrived to meet the cast at their booth and was met with an unprovoked attack when she tapped Kove, 78, on the shoulder to greet him.
“Martin Kove suddenly grabbed her arm and bit her upper arm so hard it nearly drew blood, and she yelled out in pain,” the documents allege. “Once Martin Kove finished biting her arm, he grabbed her arm again and began kissing it where he had bit her.”
The report then states that she and her husband, Sebastian Roche, confronted the Karate Kid alum, who allegedly “exploded on them” and insisted “he did not do anything wrong.” Hannah-Kim proceeded to find an on-site law enforcement officer, who confirmed that she “had a very noticeable bite mark on her arm that was already turning blue and bruising.”
When the officer questioned Kove, he allegedly “admitted to biting” Hannah-Kim, and “said he did it out of jest.”
“He thought he was being funny, and they play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai, and he did not think it was a big deal,” the report alleges.
Hannah-Kim allegedly expressed “how upset she was” and informed Kove that “he had legitimately caused her pain.”
After both she and the officer informed him that his actions were illegal and would “not be tolerated in the future,” he allegedly “said that he did not mean for it to be perceived as illegal” and reiterated that “he was just messing around.”

Ultimately, Hannah-Kim decided not to press charges, but privately requested an official report “in case this continues.” She and her husband signed affidavits and were given a case number.
The officer further claims that Kove and his son “thanked me” but “declined” to write a voluntary handwritten statement. They were “escorted out of Summer Con” at the discretion of the Cobra Kai producer that was at the venue.
PEOPLE has reached out to reps for Hannah-Kim and Kove for comment.
Kove originally starred as John Kreese in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid and returned to role in the two film sequels as well as Cobra Kai, which aired for six seasons on Netflix. Hannah-Kim joined the cast as Kim Da-Eun for the fifth and sixth seasons.
