All About Big Sean and Jhené Aiko’s Son Noah

Big Sean and Jhené Aiko are the proud parents of son Noah Hasani.

The couple welcomed their first child together in November 2022. Aiko is also a mom to daughter Namiko, whom she shares with her ex, singer O’Ryan.

In addition to her musical career, Aiko has prioritized being a mom, telling CR Fashion Book in May 2017, “I would describe myself as a mother, lover, writer and singer, but always a mother first.”

Now, Big Sean (whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson) is discovering the joys of fatherhood. “He’s changed me in so many ways,” the rapper told PEOPLE in April 2024 about Noah. “I’m still learning is to be even more intentional with everything and just being in the moment.”

More recently, in January 2025, Big Sean opened up about Aiko experiencing a miscarriage and how they navigated it. During an appearance on the podcast On Purpose with Jay Shetty, the artist encouraged others to feel their emotions and find solace in future possibilities.

“To anyone who does experience such an insufferable loss: Go through it, express yourself, deal with that grief, but don’t let it consume you,” he said. “You may get blessed with a child later on. You may get blessed with a child that comes into your life a different way.”

He was born in November 2022

Big Sean and Aiko welcomed their son, Noah Hasani, on Nov. 8, 2022.

Ten days later, the rapper and R&B singer announced their personal news on Instagram.

“After 24 hours of labor, a total lunar eclipse, and while it was pouring rain… he came 🥹 my baby Yoda, my Sani 💙,” Aiko wrote alongside a series of photos of her in the hospital, both before and after Noah was born.

Big Sean shared a similar post that same day. The first photo featured a close-up of his infant son holding his finger, and in the last snap, Big Sean was captured on a hospital chair holding his newborn.

“He’s here safe and sound. Happy, Healthy and everything we could ever ask for and more. Any and everything for you Son. 💙Noah💙,” he captioned the snaps.

He has an older sister

Aiko welcomed her daughter, Namiko “Nami” Love Brown, with singer O’Ryan on Nov. 19, 2008.

Shortly after Noah was born, Big Sean celebrated Nami’s 14th birthday with a sweet tribute on his Instagram Stories. He posted a photo of himself and Namiko posing with the new addition to the family, baby Noah.

“Love you Nami! You’re one of the smartest, coolest people on 🌎,” he wrote. “My anime plug and newly big sis! This world is a much better place with you in it! Big 14!”

He has an uncle that’s younger than him

Noah has a large extended family, thanks to his mom’s seven living siblings (her older brother Miyagi died in 2012 at 26) — and one of his uncles is actually younger than him.

A little over one month after Noah was born, Aiko’s father, Dr. Karamo Chilombo, shared the news that he welcomed his ninth child, a baby boy named JahSeh- Miyagi, on Dec. 16, 2022.

Big Sean considers his son his “teacher”

The rapper has opened up about becoming a dad, describing the impact on his well-being. Since welcoming Noah, Big Sean has become more mindful and appreciative of his surroundings.

Speaking to PEOPLE in April 2024, he shared how much he’s learned from his son, including how to appreciate life differently. Big Sean revealed that he was working on being “more intentional,” like noticing nature during walks with Noah.

“It’s funny how they end up being the teachers,” he said. “Even though you’re there to guide and teach them, they teach you. That’s something I really appreciate.”

He spent his 1st birthday visiting an aquarium

Instead of celebrating their son turning 1 with a huge birthday bash, Big Sean and Aiko honored the milestone with a sweet family day out at the aquarium.

The longtime pair shared photos of the celebration on social media.

“Daddy so proud n grateful for you Son!” Big Sean wrote on his Instagram Stories alongside a picture of Noah looking at a large turtle. “We celebrating all week! Noah’s Big 1! 11.8.22.”

In her Instagram Stories, Aiko posted a picture of her and Noah looking at the large aquarium with a handwritten caption. “1st birthday,” she wrote, drawing a small heart alongside it.

He’s gone on tour with Aiko

In the summer of 2024, Aiko embarked on The Magic Hour Tour, her first solo tour in seven years. Rather than travel alone, though, she brought a few family members along, including Nami and Noah.

“Having my children with me really keeps me more mindful,” she told Rolling Stone in July 2024. “I say that everything is just another backdrop to being a mom nowadays. It’s just another setting, but they are the number-one priority, so it keeps me really grounded.”

She added that although she toured with Nami as a toddler, this was her first time traveling with a baby. At 18 months, Noah was still breastfeeding when The Magic Hour Tour started, and despite any chaos, Aiko explained that she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“We set up every venue with a playroom. It’s a lot going on, but I like it because that’s how I grew up,” she said. “My mom would bring us everywhere, all five of us. It feels like a throwback to growing up where there’s a lot going on, and we all are just rolling together, going with the flow.”

His parents have made music for him

For Noah, having two music artists as parents has meant hearing songs written in honor of him.

In January 2024, Aiko released her single, aptly titled “Sun/Son,” an emotional ode to her baby boy, which reveals how Noah takes after both her and Big Sean.

“God bless the child / Your mama’s soul, and your daddy’s style / … Your mama’s eyes, and your daddy’s smile,” the lyrics read.

Later the same year, in August, Big Sean debuted his song, “On Up,” a tune that opens with the fact that it’s dedicated to Noah. On Instagram, the rapper shared its music video, featuring Big Sean’s parents, Aiko and other friends and family members.

“Hopefully one Day Noah will look back n see how adored he is by his family,” he penned.
