Allison Holker’s Feud With Stephen ‘tWtich’ Boss’ Family Over After Case Dismissed by Judge
Allison Holker’s court drama with the family of late husband Stephen “tWtich” Boss has come to an end.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, February 19, Boss’ mother, Connie Boss Alexander’s case against Holker, 38, was dismissed by a judge on February 9.
“The court finds California lacks personal and subject matter jurisdiction over [Holker] and minor children, and orders the entire action dismissed,” the filing read.
In September 2025, Boss Alexander previously filed a petition in Los Angeles for grandparent visitation against Holker, claiming that she was fearful that her relationship with her grandchildren would become strained. She alleged that her relationship with her grandkids had changed since her son’s death, claiming it was a “retaliatory” decision made by Holker. (Holker and Boss shared children Weslie, 17, Maddox, 9, and Zaia, 6. Weslie is Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, who Boss helped raise.)
“Unfortunately, shortly following my son’s passing, [Allison] refused to allow me or any other members of our family to communicate with or see the minor children,” Boss Alexander’s filing, also obtained by Us, claimed. “My hope is that this Court can grant me limited grandparent visitation in a way that neither infringes on [Allison’s] autonomy or disrupts their life. I believe it in the best interests of the children to continue to have a relationship with their father’s family, especially now that he is no longer present in their lives.”
Boss Alexander added that she attempted to “remain” in the kids’ lives for the first year following her son’s death, but Holker began “distancing herself” from the relatives. Holker, for her part, denied Boss Alexander’s claims in the case at the time, claiming she ‘facilitated phone calls, FaceTime calls and visits with [Connie] and the children.” (A series of texts between Holker and Boss Alexander submitted within the filing showed the dancer reaching out to her mother-in-law to invite her to the children’s various activities and events on various dates.)
In a response filing from February 2, Holker went on to claim that Boss Alexander only contacted the kids once in 2025 to wish Maddox a happy birthday in March.
“If Connie had called to speak to the children between April and September 2025 the children would likely have told her about our move as they were very excited about it and told everyone,” the docs read. “At all times Connie has had all of the children’s contact information, including my telephone number and email and my assistant’s email and telephone number.”
Us has reached out to Holker and Boss Alexander for comment.
Holker and Boss fell in love while appearing on So You Think You Can Dance season 7. The couple wed in 2013. They remained together until Boss died by suicide in December 2022 at age 40.
Following Boss’ death, Holker released her book This Far: My Story of Love, Loss and Embracing the Light, in February 2025. In the memoir, she detailed her relationship with Boss and revealed she went through her late husband’s journals following his death.
“Stephen always saw himself as the protector of me and the kids — our Superman — and in the wake of his death I feel a duty to be his,” Holker wrote. “So when possible clues emerge in his phone and his nightstand drawer and his shoeboxes for why he did what he did, my instinct is to keep them buried — as he had.”
Holker also claimed that Boss was privately struggling with the impact of past sexual abuse and an apparent drug addiction. When Holker’s book hit shelves, Boss Alexander spoke out against Holker’s claims on behalf of the family.
“Our family is absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made about my son, Stephen Boss,” she wrote on Instagram in January 2025. “The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency.”
Boss Alexander and son Drè Rose also spoke out against Holker’s book in a February 2025 interview with CBS Mornings.
“To use my brother’s name and make it seem like he had this serious addiction problem, this sexual abuse allegation,” Rose told host Gayle King. “That could have been true, but I don’t think that’s the reason why my brother isn’t here today.”
Holker subsequently defended her book and released a statement following the family’s CBS Mornings interview .
“Connie has and will continue to be a positive and loving figure in Maddox and Zaia’s lives,” she said, referring to the children she shared with Boss. “From grandparents day at school, to family lunches, ice cream dates and Cameron’s video game meetups with Maddox, we hope to continue these traditions over the years and work together to keep Stephen’s memory alive.”
